Blue and red overlap shadowing

My mitsubishi rear projection 65 in HD TV has blue and red shadowing overlap. If I turn it off and back on sometimes it goes away but is coming back. I have had the TV for 7 years.

Convergence ic's are your culprit. they are responsible for aligning the 3 colors your tv projects onto your screen..

Ws-65611 color shadows

You need to turn down the voltage on all 3 crt's. You have a red one, a blue one and a green one. Slowly adjust the knob down until you don't see the shadow any more. Then adjust your color in the user menu.

Red and blue overlap shadowing

Sounds like a convergence ic problem, normaly i tell people to replace the ic's but in your case try to re-solder the pins on the ic first, you may just have some pins broken loose from the board. Locate the stk392 ic's there will be two of them located on a heat sink, unplug the tv and get to the bottom side of the board and re-solder the pins. if this does not work, then replace the ic's

Red shadow

ITS A 2003 HD MODEL,REPAIRING WOULD COST 250.00-350.00 WHICH SEEMS A LOT BETTER THEN BUYING A NEW TV. I RECOMMEND THE HIGHER REPAIR AND GET THE ORIGINAL MITSUBISHI IC'S.

Picture has blue, green, and red phantom lines on the screen

Sounds like a convergence problem. Are you interested in fixing this yourself? If so you will need to know how to solder well and use a meter. I can assist you as much as you need through the process. If you post a picture of what the screen looks like we can know for sure what you have going on. If you call a repairman to fix it he will charge somewhere between $300-$500 to do the repair. Let me know if you need more help!

Problems with my Mitsubishi hd1080

If the Blue lines are blurs or shadows, then your Convergence IC's are going or gone bad.
I have the same TV - it will be 4yrs. old in Dec. Mine started with Blue lines & shadows, then Red, Blue, Green Shadows. This is caused from over heating. The Convergence IC's have to be replaced.
I have had 3 TV Repair shops all quote me a price from $350. to $400. to repair. They all said 4 years is the usual life time for these IC's.
Replace the STK932-110amps with STK394-250-E or STK392-150 for greater reliability.
Use only Original Replacement Parts, there are some cheaper but won't last and can't take the heat.
If you are a "do-it-yourselfer" here is a link with the directions and pics.
