SOURCE: Faucet/sprayer coordination

If you have a Delta faucet your diverter may need to be replaced. The diveter is located under the spout (see diagram)(this is not your faucet but works the same)

Here are the instructions:

  1. Turn off water to faucet.
  2. Remove handle.
  3. Remove top cap.
  4. Turning spout back and forth gently lift and remove.
  5. Remove and replace diverter.
Hope this helps and please remember to rate this!

SOURCE: fix diverter valve sprayer

CLR usually works great. Replacement parts are available at Lowes Home supply stores and perhaps Home Depot. I've had better luck getting parts at Lowes.

How does a home well water system work?

Deep well.
Pressure valve located on front of above-ground-storage-tank will turn pump on-off depending on amount of water pressure inside tank.
When water is consumed inside home, the pressure valve responds to the lower pressure and closes electrical contacts... sending electricity to water well pump located deep underground.
The pump turns on and lifts water through a pipe into the above ground storage tank.
When the tank is full of water, the pressure valve senses the higher pressure and turns off electricity going to pump
Pump shuts off.
There is a one-way check valve on the water line going down to pump, and this keeps water from flowing back down into well.
The above ground tank maintains water pressure for the house.
When pressure is reduced by taking a shower, the pressure valve turns pump on again, and cycle repeats.

650 Brute Pressure washer, wayer comes out of nossle for about 3 seconds with the correct pressure, then stops, after a few times wayer is warm from wand

Leaving it outside may have broken something inside as water freezes, it expands a lot. The wand is unlikely to be the problem. Your problem is indicative of a water supply problem. Some hose fittings has a non-return valve in the middle, and I have seen these foul the fitting on the power washer and cut off the flow. The pump is a simple centrifugal pump that spins very fast. This is why the water is getting warm because of friction. In normal circumstances, the water running through it cools all the parts.

Which is the correct way to fit diaphrams on stilh 450 carburators

Chainsaw carbs have two working sides, the pump side and the metering side, the pump side will have a diaphram and a gasket, the diaphram will have two small non return flap valves on it , it must fit against the carb body followed by the gasket, on the metering side the diaphram has a metal disc and a gasket, on this side the gasket goes against the carb body followed by the diaphram ( the gasket is used as a spacer )

ther is a small impulse pump on the bottom of the unit. the diaphram gets old and it stops functioning but sometime then it leaks . so if it's not leaking , turn off water suppl and remove the fitting for incoming water some have screens right here and they get plugged with hard water debris . ha dont be silly all water is dirty.you can get new screens at h/d and lowes, hope your solenoid still works, check it by putting a finger on it when the cycle should start it should humm or vibrate. diaphram is not replaceable. need to buy new valve

Have a pancake style 2hp ithink small compressor it runs but dont seem to build any compression is my problem rings in pump or what is your answer

Theree are TWO common problems that cause this. Usually these have a compression release associated with the pressure switch. If you hear a hissing noise from around the pressure switch, this little valve may not be seating. The very common problem is actually with the main check valve for the compressor. It is often right where the pressure pipe from the compressor goes into the tank... right as a part of the fitting there. Common problems are contamination of the valve seat OR in some cases they have a soft seal moving part like Teflon or other that wears out and leaks. Rings problems are really rare. In a few cases the pumps use a diaphram and those can get damaged, but most 2 HP do not use that type of pump.

hi please check the tank breather it maybe allowing to build up pressure and unsseating the needle valve

try another breather or tank cap if it uses cap with breather

check that the main check valve / nozzle is working correctly

you mentioned carb has been re-kited

did you fit the pump diaphram on carb then the pump gasket ?

also the metering diaphram has the gasket 1st then diaphram then the cover ( make sure vent hole is clear on cover )

but sounds like a faulty breather

cheers

I bought a Vigoro deluxe water timer last spring, it worked fine all summer. This year I can't seem to get it to work, I hook it up to the spicket and the water runs thru the whole thing and in on the...

I had the same problem with several of mine. So I tore one apart. The problem isn't that the valve doesn't close. The valve uses a rubber diaphram that flexes in and out, sealing off the water supply. The rubber diaphrams develop cracks, allowing water to pass through the valve. The rate of water flow depends on how large the crack is. The crack will become larger over time as the valve moves the rubber diaphram in and out. The diaphram can be easily replaced. However, these units are not designed to be taken apart and repaired and I can't find a replacement for the diaphram. The bottom line is that once the diaphrams crack (and my experience is that they all do within 1-2 years-time), you have to throw it away and buy a new timer.

New water valve makes ahigh pitched whistling

I had exactly the same problem. Just turn down the water pressure @ the valve on the water inlet line. While you have the toilet lid off, you may want to remove the fill valve (1/2 turn counterclockwise on the plastic nut attached to the water-in line), and clean the rubber diaphrams (there are 2). They will sometimes get gritty and this will cause some fill noises and leaking.

Hi
There are no diaphrams in high pressure pumps. They use a small piston and check valves that can become stuck. Some can be fixed but that old it might be better to get a new pump. You can sometimes find them on ebay.
