Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Go to the "Add and Remove Programs" in your Control panel.
Do a "Change" and do the 'repair program' utility.
That should fix it, good as new.
If that is not a possible option, try uninstalling. (if there is no "Change" and 'repair program') then Run the normal uninstall program.

SOURCE: Need to download Software for canon S45 Powershot

There are no known free downloads. If you know anyone who has a Canon camera, you can use their disk. You do not need to have the software to connect to your computer and download. You can use the default scanner and camera wizard to download. If you are unable to do this, check the Canon website drivers and download section for your model to see if there are any driver updates for your Operating System. However if this is not a connection issue and you just want to have the software, you should try calling Canon to order the disk for under $20, I believe. Then you will be able to update the software from www.powershot.com once you have the original version.

Hope this helps!

I have the same problem. Same camera. I got a new Dell Inspiron - which has a 4 pin firewire input. The canon came with a 4 pin to 6 pin cable. So I got a 4 pin to 4 pini cable but my comp still doesn't recognize it. Using Vista.

SOURCE: TRANSFERRING VIDEO FOOTAGE TO COMPUTER

Hello,
you can access via USB only SD card on your camcoder.
The only way to transfer from the tape is via Firewire (IEE 1394) . You should have this port on your PC or laptop, if not you can buy external firewire card .
regards,
Konstantin

Require a lead from camera to PC ( usb on one end)

This is one of the few models of Digital-8 camera that can transfer video to computer with a USB lead. It will be USB at BOTH ends, but the camera end will be a miniature version. Don't confuse it with the Firewire connection (Sony call this i.Link) which is different and incompatible with USB.

I found several USB leads for this camera by searching Amazon for "DCR-TRV140E usb". The cheapest was about $3.

You can access a Sony tutorial for downloading from this camera, and other information and downloads, at THIS LINK

I have misplaced my USB cable, where can I find one

There are several sizes of mini-USB connectors at the camera end of USB leads, but you will be able to find a generic one to fit your camera by doing a search on Amazon. I found many leads compatible with Nikon cameras just by searching "nikon usb lead".

How can I download pictures from my kodak dx7590 without easyshare software ?

Connect your camera to pc via USB and switch it on. With luck the PC will recognise your camera as an extra drive.

Its then a simple case opening up the "new" drive and cut/copy and pasting your photo's.

Or you can go to :-

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/publications/urg00273toc.jhtml

And download the software.

How set a movie on canon mv800 on pc

You need to connect the camera to the PC with the appropriate cable - you may need a FireWire - IEEE 1394 USB converter - and then, well, it depends. If you want to look at the movie on the PC, you can use the supplied ZoomBrowser EX software.

If you want to create a movie viewable on other PCs, you'll have to convert it to a portable enough format such as Windows Media Format.

Downloading

For Windows 98:

Firstly you need the software CDROM that was supplied with your camera.

Secondly, you need a lead that has a connector on one end that plugs into a socket on your camera and has a USB connector at the other.

If you do not have the software CDROM, go to the manufacturer's website, click support and find a download of the software for your particular camera. If it isn't available you have a problem!

Install the software, it includes a driver which your computer needs so it can recognise your camera. Run the software and follow the on screen instructions. At some point you will need to connect your camera to your computer. Do not connect your camera until your computer tells you to. Use one of the USB sockets. This is a small rectangular shape that will match your lead. If all goes to plan, your computer will display "found new hardware." Just follow the on screen directions. You may be asked to restart your computer at some point, this is normal.

Hope this helps......

Computer won't recognise camera to download images

** Problem Solved **

I found it wasn't the camera entirely to blame. I tried another USB cable on another pc, and although the camera was doing the same thing as my problem, the computer recognised the camera as new hardware, and asked me how to access the pictures. So I was able to get the pictures from the camera to the computer, and then saved them on to my Kingston flash drive. So taking the flash drive to my daily PC, I plugged in my flash drive via a USB extension lead, and discovered that would read either... alarm bells rang. So I unplugged the lead, and put the flash drive straight into the computer direct. The computer recognised it immediately. So plugging in the extension lead again, and the flash drive, it read this now. So I tried the camera, and it recognised it.

So I don't know exactly what the problem was, but it was solved... saved me a lot of running around and money ;)
