In my experience invariably it is the hardware at issue.. occasionally it is the driver(s) So uninstall the drivers, Obtain the latest.. install, configure ... Change any cables also, if all of that doesn't "fix it" then we are back to our original diagnosis of the "Hardware" problem.

I cannot connect to the internet using my netgear n150 wireless router. The internet light is orange but the modem is working fine and I can connect to the router itself.

When the router is turned on, the Internet light turns amber for about 20 seconds and then turns green. If the light does not turn green, the router has a problem. If the Internet light is still amber 1 minute after turning on power to the router: a. The Internet is not accessible. Confirm that you have the correct internet setting. b. Clear the router's configuration to factory defaults. This will set the router's IP address to c. Turn the power off and back on to see if the router recovers. If its still not working, reset to factory defaults. You can restore the factory default configuration settings that reset the router's user name to admin, the password to password, and the IP address to To restore the factory default configuration settings: 1. Use a sharp object such as a pen or a paper clip to press and hold the restore factory settings button, located on the rear panel of the router, for about 5 seconds, until the Power light begins to blink (see "Back Panel" on page 4). 2. Release the restore factory settings button, and wait for the router to restart, and for the Power light to stop blinking and become solid green. The factory default settings will be restored so that you can access the router from your Web browser using the factory defaults.

My belkin wont keep connection

1. Powercycle your equipment (unplug the power to your router and your modem)
2. Wait 15 seconds then plug equipment back in.
3.If your Modem runs off signal from a tower try and get more signal simply by moving modem closer to a window.
4.Check your connections to the modem and to the router, ensure the wires are plugged all the way in.
5.Using your wireless signal from your computer pc or laptop ensure you have sufficient signal you may have to move closer to the router, once in a while you will be to far from your router to have a good connection.
6. Make sure the ventilation slots on modem and router are not blocked.
7.Check to see how far your modem is away from any electrical equipment your modem should be away at least 3 feet away.
8. If you are able to keep connection directly plugged into your modem from your computer most likely there is an issue with the router, In this case you can always reset your router there may be a configuration error in your router, To reset simply press and hold reset button on the back of the router for approximately 15 seconds or until router restarts, Caution by resetting your router will reset back to factory default and your router will be unsecure once again.
9. When your are disconnected from the internet make sure that the Connection itself isnt still connected if your connection itself is connected and you are unable to get online you may need to renew your ip address. usually your ip address automatically renew's once the router and modem have been powercycled (unplugged and plugged back in) however you may need to manually renew your ip.
10.Windows Xp: Start/Run/CMD and press ok
A.Type ipconfig /release
B.Type ipconfig /renew
Windows Vista/7 Start/All Programs/Accessories/Right click on command prompt and hit run as administrator.

Been using the router for a long time, now it couldn't connect. The internet icon that's supposed to light yellow is always orange.

Turn the router off and then turn it on again. Wait for couple of minutes. If it doesn't comes normal. Press the reset button with a pin and hold the reset button for 5 seconds. Router will be restored to Default factory settings (You settings will be changed to default including your network name, network security key, etc) If still doesn't works call your Internet Service Provider.

Network connects without router. Install router

is your router powered? make sure your router is powered properly.

are you connecting your computer to the LAN ports? (the ones with a number not the one that say WAN? connect your computer to one of the LAN numbered ports and check to see if you get a green light on the front pannel. if you don't have green light, try a different port until, if you run out of ports and still no green light try a different cable.

have you by any chance disable your lan ports? I don't know if it is possible on your router to disable some ports, if that's the case is better to start fresh and simply reset your router by pressing a reset button for a minute while your router is getting powered and retest to see if you a green light on the lan port where you are connecting your computer.

if all this fails, it's very likely that your router has died. replaced accordingly.
