Your system does not support that processor, ive had it done to me, di you spacifcally, match it with the computer you have now, if so, it could be a pin, ahve you made sure all pins are even, i believe its the chip

SOURCE: cant turn my built in webcam on??

Hi,

This is known Webcam issue in DV6000 notebooks. To resolve or narrow down the issue, we have to check few things.

First open Device Manager.

Please follow these steps to open Device Manager:

1. Right Click on 'My Computer' icon on Desktop and choose Properties.
2. The System properties Window opens.
3. Click Hardware tab and then click the Device Manager button.

Expand + Imagining Devices and check if the HP Webcam is listed under it.

If Webcam is not listed there, then you have to contact HP to get the BIOS update.

If it is listed there, right click on it and select Disable. Again right click on it and select Enable.

Now open any applications like Quickplay and check if Webcam is working or not.

Please reply me if that won't resolve the issue, I can provide more work arounds

SOURCE: boot up beep and blanck screen

The beep patterns always tell you what the problem is, but it depends on what kind of BIOS is in your computer. You can take a look here, maybe you find what is the problem with your machine: http://www.pchell.com/hardware/beepcodes.shtml

SOURCE: HP Pavillion dv2500 laptop won't turn on

Kinda strange. Not turning on indicates a hardware problem, you made software changes. If the software changes caused a problem, it would start, just not boot to windows. I would first tryy to reset the laptop. Unplug it and remove the battery, hold down the power button for 60 seconds, then try again. If still no go, start removing hardware one at a time, hard drive, rem, wireless card, dvd rom. You may have a bad hard drive. Your pc should boot to bios if there is no hard drive installed. If that happens, run a diagnostic on your hard drive from your bios. Let me know if you need anything else.

SOURCE: HP Pavilion dv2500 - FTB

The troubleshooting you have done seems to be fine. It does not seem to be a problem with the power supply, cord or battery.Did you try a hard reset. If there is a reset button on the bottom of your laptop, you might want to try pressing that with laptop plugged in, not plugged in, with battery, without battery and different combinations thereof.
If this does not work or you don't have a reset button read on.

Before assuming it's the motherboard, there is one other possibility. There is a part called a PCA switch. It is possible this switch has gone bad or a plug might have come loose.

If you are comfortable with doing your own work, you can obtain a repair manual for your laptop online. Within this manual, it should explain what is involved in replacing this part. It is really not too complicated.

It does not sound like a hard drive problem simply because it doesn't seem to be getting power to any other part of the laptop.

You can try these steps.

SOURCE: hp dv2500 wont turn on

does the laptop plug in tightly to the power socket

if not the pavilion part to get the system power needs replacement

contact a local technician and state the power adapter plug-in on the motherboard needs replaced

these commonly go bad on pavilions

it should cost you less than 100usd to repair

or rma the laptop if you have warranty coverage left on the hp dv2500

good luck

If your PC came with a Window installation you will need to reinstall Windows if you are not sure on how to do this you will need to bring your PC along with the installation disc to a qualified repair center to have it fixed.

HP recall this model because of damage in the gpu(graphics processor) the main problem it is that you didnt have video in your lcd neighter on external monitor but your leds turn on right,
The solution:
you need to reheat your gpu for resoldering it and put a few termic compound to avoid new damage. I know this is a very complicated fix, we can repair your motherboard for $80 in our shop if you liked

Crash

Some of HP's laptops had an issue with the motherboard. They're not going to broadcast the info but at least one motherboad has been recalled and will be replaced by HP if you do your homework. This means searching their site for forums on recalls. Googleing your model along with words like recall, wirelless, motherboard, etc..
