Touch Screen wont work?

The phone shut off and restarted itself without me touching it, and when I tried to get off the home screen, it wont respond to me touching it. I tried to turn it off but that won't work either. What should I do?

SOURCE: My T Mobil Samsung Galaxy T cell phone's touch screen will not operate.

It is possible that the phone has hung up because there are errors in the software. So to reset remove the battery and the memory card from the phone. Using your PC , scan the memory card for any corrupt files or media files with virus- it is possible when they are downloaded from unsafe sites. If so remove or format the card. Copy only valid files to the card and do a scan before it is replaced. Now replace the card and battery and switch on the phone. If the phone hangs up or is slow when it is switched ON , then it is possible that the fault is relative to the software and will need a reinstallation. Possible hardware issue cannot be ruled out.

SOURCE: T-Mobil My Touch cell phone touch screen randomly will not work. Sometimes brings up screens without touching screen?

My son's had dropped his t-mobile so many times it did the same thing. I was able to order the touch screen from amazon for $18 then I looked up on YouTube how to replace the screen and it was very easy to replace by watching the video. I think this is the cheapest fix for your problem.

The touch screen wont work

How to fix the touch screen on an Android cell phone Is the touch screen on your Android cell phone unresponsive or responding incorrectly? Do some parts of your phones screen respond while other parts do not? When trying to make a selection on your phone does it end up selecting something else instead? Looking for a way to try to fix this and prevent it from happening? Then you have come to the right place. This tutorial describes not only how to test the touch screen on an Android but also what can be done to try and fix it.....Before we really dive in to testing and troubleshooting your touch screen the first thing that you should do is power cycle your cell phone. Simply powering your phone off, counting to 10, and then turning your phone back on can often solve minor software glitches or software hiccups, especially if you haven't powered your phone off for a while. If restarting your cell phone doesn't resolve the issue then we are going to want to verify that the touch screen itself is in fact malfunctioning and that it's not simply being affected by some software problem.

Ipod touch screen is unresponsive but it makes sounds like normal

Fix an Unresponsive Ipod Screen
Many of today's electronic devices including cell phones, music players and portable game systems have a touch screen.
When a touch screen fails, it does not respond when you tap it with your finger or a stylus.
This can happen due to several reasons, such as a screen protector, dust or improper calibration.
You can often fix an unresponsive touch screen by cleaning it or resetting the device.
Remove the plastic touch screen protector sheet.
Some protector sheets are too thick and prevent the touch screen from responding to your touch. If you must use a protector screen, only use one that is licensed for your specific device.
Wipe the screen with a soft microfiber cloth.
Clean off any dirt, dust or fingerprints on the screen.

Dry your hands thoroughly.
The touch screen will not respond if your hands are wet.
Reset the device.
If your device does not have a "Reset" button, remove the battery, memory card or SIM card, then reinstall them.

Delete any third-party applications you recently installed.
Some third-party applications can cause your device to lock up or freeze.

Recalibrate the touch screen.
Look in the device's Settings menu for a calibration option and follow the prompts.

iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
If this fails to fix the problem
Press the "On/Off-Sleep/Wake" button and hold it for a few seconds, until a red slider appears. Press the "Home" button until the frozen app quits.
If this doesn't work, you can try restarting the iPod touch.
Press the "On/Off-Sleep/Wake" button if you need to restart the iPod touch, and hold it until the red slider appears on the screen.
Slide your finger over the slider to turn off the device.
Press the "On/Off-Sleep/Wake" button and hold it until the iPod touch turns back on.
If you can't turn off the iPod touch, you can try resetting it.
Press the "On/Off-Sleep/Wake" button while simultaneously pressing the "Home" button when you want to reset the iPod touch, and continue to hold the buttons for at least 10 seconds, until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears.

Samsung SGH A897 mobile touch screen not responding to touch Incoming calls are operable

Did you try restarting the phone...??? If it didn't work try resetting everything. And even if that is not working then I would say it's probably a hardware error. You would have replace your touch panel. Could cost you a little bit. Rush to nearest samsung service center and get it done.
And also bear to put a screen gaurd always. I would not advise you to use touchscreen phones without screen gaurds.
Good luck

The usual solution for such a problem is to have your phone's digitizer or touch screen replaced. That is the only solution for your phone's touch screen to work again. Have this done by a cell phone specialist, preferably one who's good with samsung phones.

My iphone wont respond to my touch in the bottem halk

Have you tried doing a hard shut down? Hold the silver button down on the upper right corner and also the home button (center, bottom indented button) together for about 10 seconds. the phone will completly shut off. then wait about 10 seconds and hold down the upper right hand button until the apple appears on the phone then release the button and wait (20-30seconds) . Doing this usually solves all my issues with my iphone when it gets locked up like this.
