Some Viewsonic DLP projectors have this issue. It happens when the DMD chip goes bad. You need to replace the DMD chip. Google "Viewsonic DMD chip replacement". This is not localized to Viewsonic projectors.

The problem may be from power cord. call a service center for checking the power cord.

If the problem is what I describe as a blue haze over the entire image projected, I was told this is a defect in the cable - we have a Dell Video Projector 2300 - and it takes only a dell VGA cable.
So, the problem is in the cable - solution is replace cable.
