Hi daniel, seems as though you do have a wiring problem from the unit. make sure that your yellow wire from the unit is connected "directly" to the +12v battery line permanenly. the red wire should be connected to a "swithched" +12v line from the igniton barrel, OR the red wire can also be connected with the yellow wire directly to battery line. also make sure that the black wire is securly connected to a good ground point. cheers.
