Question about Car Audio & Video
Hi jeff, recheck the power wiring again namely the yellow, red and black wires. when the harness is wired and then connected to the unit you will notice that the cd eject motor will run for a few seconds. this is a good sign that the unit is correcly wired up. make sure that both the re and yellow wires receives +12v once the vehicle is started. if this does not help then the rest of the problem lay inside ur unit. cheers.

SOURCE: Car Radio just stoped working.
My same model did this too. The wiring harness may have gone bad. Try direct wiring the stereo or replacing the wiring harness if you can get one. This fixed the problem for me.

The capacitors in these plates tend to burn out quickly for being so hot and lack of air cooling circulation. You can test all connection pins on the deck and faceplate with an ohmmeter in ohm setting to see which pins is not sending 25-30 ohms or 5 volts of power

Yellow for memory.
Red for power acc.
Black for ground.
Blue for remote turn on(amps and accessories).
Gray pair is for right front speakers, solid for positive, striped for negative.
White pair for Left front, again solid is pos, striped is neg.
Violet or purple for right rear, same with solid or striped.
Green pair for left rear, same solid/stripe configuration.
