Question about Zhone 6211-I3-200 Router
Well when i try to connect to my bank account it tells me it could not connect. so i ran diagnostic and it says unable to connect to HTTP, HTTPS, FTPS. I am good with comps but havent completley figured out routers yet. when i try to connect to 192.168.1.1 it wont let me do that either. Im so fustrated so can anyone please help me?
Hi, With a Xhone 6211-13 ADSL2 rOUTER, assuming that there is no firmware/hardware problem and that you have an active Internet account with your ISP, you have to connect the router directly to one of your PC (where you will do the configuration)(not through a switch or hub) and manually configure the PC's network interface: IP address - 192.168.1.2; Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0; Default Gateway - 192.168.1.1 Check with your browser if you can already access the net, if yes then you have to probably set all your PCs to manual network config by just changing the last digit of their IP add. If still a no go, then.... log in to your router 192.168.1.1; username & password are both admin (default not unless it has been changed); at the Web Interface Home Page/Paradyne ADSL CPE Homepage check the general status & WAN settings. There would be indications that you are connected to the net. If you still cannot access the router (albeit being directly connected to it via a lancable, then check router's cable, if good but still no internet, then something is wrong with your router. Try hard reset (small button between LAN and Power at the back of the router, press for about 5 seconds or until it has re-initialize. Try again 192.168.1.1 in your PC's browser, if good, try internet browsing, if no go then something is wrong with your router. Hope this gives you some idea.
