Question about Sony CDX-CA400 CD Player
I have a Blaupunkt Louisiana RCM 148 model with a similar problem, the screen can be seen but only by shining a flash light onto the screen, I'm wondering if the globe need replacing? Is it as easy as that? If so, what type of globe to purchase and what are the precautions for relacing it? Everything else works fine on the unit, just can't see the display as it's so dim. Mick

Yes, the backlight is a separate part. It can be removed from the LCD and replaced.
The following video shows how to replace the backlight in a Sony camera.
