Samsung cash register lock out

I cleared the keyboard and tried to log in but nothing. I tried 9999 and everything else I could possibly think of, but nothing. The register keeps asking for the employee code and doesn't allow me to enter the program mode. Please help...

I would do a system restore to be on the safe side...Restore back to before you cleared the keyboard.

How do you know the clerk code is 1001. Is that what you programmed?

Ok. that's good. You have performed an initial reset that does not lose any data. You must log back on after an initial reset. <div>Find the button marked clerk, clk#, cashier, cash# or similar. This is your log on button. Now type a clerk code (default is 1) then press the cashier button.</div> <div><br /></div> <div>-------------------------------------------------------------------------</div> <div><br /></div> <div>If anyone needs a Samsung SER-6500II or SER-6540II manual, c-tech has them here:</div> <div><br /></div> <div><a href="http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Samsung2.php">http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Samsung2.php</a></div>

It sounds like you are seeing the time display. Turn the key to REG mode and try pressing CL (clear). If it doesn't beep, get the keyboard checked by a technician

Problems cash register

if an initial clear doesn't work the keyboard is probably your source of trouble.
if it was exposed to moisture it won't do the clear. Many people have had success drying them out by pointing a small fan at the keyboard for a few hours and then try the initial clear again

Training mode closed how do i re open

The training mode on the 5200 is activated using a clerk number that has been programmed to be a training clerk. To log the clerk off turn key to REG and press 0 then clerk. Then log on a clerk which isnt programmed for training - try 1 then clerk. If that doesnt work, try 2 then clerk. Clerk key is usually top right key on keyboard.

I have a Samsung SER 6500 II cash register is locked on the error code ERR PRT. I have checked the ribbon and receipt feed area. Nothing blocking it...I've done an intial clear to no avail.

Sounds like you have printer failure. Have you tried flicking the lever under the drawer between the back two feet to open it?

I have a Samsung SER-6540 II register. An error occurred that locked it up. I am not sure what the clerk did. I unplugged and turned the key to "P" and held down "Cash" key to clear. Now the register reads...

This is a samsung ser-6500/6540 system terminal it is coming up with an error code that is not listed in the book. 1=/go 0=/stop. We hit 1 and nothing happened. we hit pretty much all keys and nothing...

Hi.
Never had that one before either. I'd try an initial clear. This will make the register attempt to stop the current transaction, and return to register mode.

Turn power off at wall.
Turn the key to P mode.
Hold down the lower right button on the keyboard. This is usually CASH, but it depends on your button layout. It must be the bottom right-most button.
While holding it, turn power on at wall.
An initial clear receipt will print. It might take a few seconds, so hold the button until the printer runs.

Now turn the key back to R (reg mode) and try it. You may have to log back on with a clerk number, as they will often log anyone out after this process. If you see "CLOSED", then you definitely must log a clerk on.

Good luck.
