Home location keeps showing a different location. reloaded home address still showing a different location.

On the TomTom One, this is impossible unless you have several maps.
Each time you switch to another Map, the preferences such as Favorites and Home addresses only apply to that specific map.

Let me know if it helps or let me know exactly what you are doing to change and set your Home address.

(hint: Change preferences -> Change Home location ?)

Type in address took me 4 house away from address type in home address said house was left and the house is on the right

The directions are for approximate location when using addresses. If a street has 10 houses on it, the GPS software assumes that each address is 1/10 the street length apart which is why the address might be a bit off. Even GoogleMaps has the same problem. Their locations are not always exact.

I live in rural Claremore Oklahoma 45 miles from Tulsa. Whenever I type in my Claremore address My unit locks up and I have to do a warm reboot. My address is 14145 S. 4220 Rd. Claremmore, Oklahoma. What...

If you are far enough out in the middle of nowhere that your area did not get mapped, then rather than entering your address in, just touch your current location when you are home, and enter it as a waypoint or "favorite". This should allow you to direct yourself back to your home from anywhere you do have maps for.

Also you can go to the manufacturers website, register your product and update your maps, in the time since you purchased your device, your area may have been mapped. You will need to USB connect your GPS to an internet connected computer to do this.

If you need mor help let me know I CAN solve this problem.

I have a sat nav which I beleive uses tomtom 5 or 6 software. The unit which connects to any in car screen (so it is basically a stand alone box) has an SD card which I have programed with extra voices...

There are few things here to consider.
1) the 4 digit postcode is related to say Australia, you are using the basic fronte end of a set of maps designed for a country with 4 digits but have modified some poi's that should be in a 6 digit environment
The size of the card is beyond the ability of the unit to read, so you get errors. Use a smaller capacity card and try again.
If your GPS alllows music and photo storage, use a separarety card for these and put the orginal capacity card back for the maps

You have also programed in a starting point location.. your home. All GPS gave this feature, remove it and leave blank it will say always start from Sydney default, unless programmed otherwise to your address.

If it continually defaults to a non standard ( your address) bthen when it is savin the information the personal info file is corrupt.

As you have fiddled with the software it will bew hard for any tech to sort out your problem.

I have this all the time on our own brand of GPS, where people change voices, put in POI's written and converted from other models or even brands and somehow corrupt the basic files.

If you have a card reader ( i am sure you do) put the card in and type part of your address in SEARCH and see which file it appears in (.data) (.txt) delete it and recreate it then try again.

Hope that helps

Wrong directions

I believe the problem is the street address. If your address is an even number, the the unit believes the house is on the right in most instances.
