Completes wash cycle hits rinse cycle and water will not drain
Lg washing machine wm0642hw I have cleaned machine out throughly. Also drained and cleaned lower drain plug and removed the pump filter which was clean.Made sure my drain pipe was free of any obstructions. I used a wet and dry vac on the back drain hose to see if it was obstructed. Everything seems to be clean and clear yet the machine will not drain. Do you have any suggestions as what I can do I have been at this for two days and am at my wits end. thank you

If the washing machine does stop at the rinsing cycle and will not continue , It could have something to do with the machine's timer notworking correctly . If the timer is broken or is not working it will have to be replaced to make sure that the machine can be able to run through the rinse cycle again.
make sure it drains the water out..it will not go through spin if there still water inside the tub... also drain is timed. Is there any error message? thx
Just had the exact same issue with my F&P it would stay in the drain cycle(without draining). It would show 2 minutes left in the cycle, dropping to 1 minute, but would never complete the cycle. For some reason the machine would not drain the water from the drum and would continually remain in the drain cycle, spinning the load(back & forth), but not draining the water. ---------- This is how I sorted the machine: - 1. I turned off & unplugged the machine. 2. I drained the machine manually. Opening the manual drain compartment located at the bottom right of the machine. a). Firstly drained the majority of the water using the small black hose into a plastic container(ice cream container will be fine). Took a little while as the machine was quite full and I also didn't want to flood the laundry. b). Once I had drained most of the water I undid the filter plug to drain the remainder of the water, which wasn't too much & was able to mop up with a towel. I gave the filter a good clean, removing as much build up in there(which in actuality was very little lint, gunk, etc. Though I did find a small button & a collar stay wedged in there). 3). I blew very hard into the washing machine drain hose a few times(read this on another forum so thought I'd give it a try!). Use a plastic bag, etc. to cover the hose etc. for hygiene purposes :) 4). I then plugged & turned on the machine. The machine went straight back into the 2 minute drain cycle. It attempted to drain/pump remaining water, however this time machine successfully went through the 2 minute drain cycle. Machine stopped, counted down, click and I was able to open the door. I put the washing through a rinse setting to see whether the machine would complete cycle. I can happily report that the machine completed the rinse cycle on the washing with no issues. I also put through another load to see if it would complete a full wash cycle, which I can report it happily did so. This may have just saved me a grand$ :) Good luck. cheers Monkeyboy :^)
software problem. regarding smell, after wash keep the door opened for ventilation, use fabric conditioner etc. also check whether any rodent has gone inside and messed up the place
I have the same problem - just a small amount of water leaking out from under the machine. I removed the top cover and found one of the water lines rubs on the vent tube and has wore completely through. Should be an easy fix, as the line runs from the #2 spigot on the water inlet to the detergent box - both connections are right on top.
YOU NEED TO CHECK THE WATER PUMP,SO LAY THE MACHINE ALL THE WAY DOWN ON ITS FRONT,NOW YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THE PUMP.Remove any debris that may be lodged inside of it.
Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
If the drain lines were plugged, there may have been enough pressure on the pump to fault out. Make sure the sewer line is completely open, as well as the lines at the pump.
If your timer is stopping at the drain cycler (before the rinse) check the LID SWITCH. Most washers will not drain or continue the cycle if this switch is not closed. Open the lid and look for an opening in the housing were the lid sits. try depressing it manually while the timer is at the drain cycle.
