How do I adjust the amount of oil that goes on the blade. It seems to dump a lot of oil on the blade and blade guide. Goes everyplace

Sorry but this model is not equipped with an oil flow adjustment screw.

The clutch cover area must be saturated with lubricant to properly lubricate the bar and chain and
to ensure the long-term durability of your chain saw.

One thing you could try is to purchase a slightly thicker oil. I got some once at a auto part store and it had anti-sling ingredients.

HOW TO CONTROL THE OIL FLOW AND ADJUST THE CHAIN FOR AN ELECTRIC CHAIN SAW

The oil flow is not adjustable
Check the bar to see if it has something that looks like a flat head screw that you can turn, it is possible that it is equipped with an EZ adjust bar where you can make tension adjustments without loosening the cover. If not, loosen the bar nuts and use the tension screw on the back of the cover to make your adjustments.

On the poulan 3300 chainsaw how do I adjust the flow of bar oil?

The adjuster screw is on the r/h side of the machine, turn the machine on its side ( starter side down ) now at the bottom l/h side of the drive sprocket you should see a screw, undoing it will increase the oil flow.

Can i alter oil flow to chaimac 436

Most hobby saws do not have an adjustable pump, if it is adjustable there will be an external screw close the the clutch and sprocket, would would not need to remove the bar and chain to acsess it.

I have a Poulan 20" chain saw that keeps leaking out the bar oil every time I put it in the container and store it. What causes this and can it be fixed by myself?

Most chainsaws have an adjustment for bar oiling and its quite normal for a chainsaw that is stored for long periods of time (weeks or even days) to leak out the bar oil. This is normal for chainsaws stored for several weeks or more.

Some of it may be reduced by adjusting the rate of flow for the bar oiler, read your manual carefully before attempting to adjust it. Adjust to too slow a flow rate will have adverse effects on performance and can lead to premature chain or bar failure.

Recommend that if you are going to store your chainsaw for more than a couple of weeks, drain the bar oil back out if it into a container (strain it through a paper towel before returning to your bar oil can). Also, you really should drain almost all the fuel and then run it until it shuts off if you are storing it for a month or more.
