Windows 7 wireless connection not connected

I think after a recent auto update on windows, my wireless connection was turned off somehow on my laptop. There is definitely a wireless connection that is working fine on my other computers. I have rebooted my laptop several times, did a system restore, uninstalled recent updates, uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for wireless and still nothing. I dont know what else to do. In running a scan of my wireless driver a message popped up saying that my "radio is off" not sure what this is or how to turn it back on. I have went in to the network center and disabled/enabled my connection to wireless. can anyone help me, its driving me nuts! I do not have a hardwire modem to connect to. All i have is my clear mobile hotspot.

My laptop has a switch on the lower left that turns the wireless on and off. If you have a plug-in type switch it with another computer
to see it your unit is bad.

SOURCE: Must reboot to connect to internet

It Happens sometime because Machine does not pass information properly so we need to restart our system to reset all settings again.
and Vista still has many bugs on it so these cases are normal until next version release.

If are blaming the updates you can remove (uninstall) them. You can also restore your system to a point before the updates you think are causing the problem. If Windows finds updates you can select which to install. Reject all hardware related updates.

My computer runs windows 7, will the PSC 1210 printer be compatibke

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
Yes the Printer is compatible with Windows 7 both 32bit and 64bit, you can install the printer on Windows 7 without any eternal driver source, the drivers for this product model are already included in the Operating System, all you have to do is;
  • Turn the product on.
  • Connect the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable to the printer, and then to the computer.
  • A Your devices are ready to use window might display on the screen.
Note: When you connect the USB cable to the product, and then to the computer, Windows 7 activates Windows Update. Windows Update searches online for the most recent product driver on the Windows Update site. If the online driver is more recent than the driver stored in Windows 7, the computer downloads and installs the updated driver. The Windows Update process takes place automatically. Therefore, you might not notice that the process is in progress.

Have you recently tried to update to windows 7 or vista. The wireless device in this laptop is an older Broadcom wireless device and will not work newer Windows versions well at all. Even in windows XP you have to update the driver. It is available here.

I think youre in luck. The driver for your Broadcom wireless card is not contained in Windows 7. You can download the updated driver by going here.

You should be able to simply download the .zip, extract it to your desktop and let it install itself but if you need additional help installing the driver manually, please let me know.

Hope this helps!

Wireless unable to connect

Windows 7 is not best suited yet for wireless connectivity, but broadcom wireless cards/dongles are about the only ones that work favourably with this Microsoft offering. Anything to do with non working hardware IS A DRIVER ISSUE AND IF IT IS NOT IN THE UPDATE SITE YOU WILL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD DRIVERS FROM THE VENDOR OF YOUR PARTICULAR HARDWARE. MOST HARDWARE THAT WORKS IN VISTA WILL WORK IN WINDOWS 7.
