SOURCE: My Hayward H model makes a heavy clicking noise

I am a little confused about the fan issue. Are you talking about the fan in the heater as in a Lo-Nox? Sorry but I just need to pinpoint the area... BTW, the bypass that is in the unit is in the header manifold that the other poster explained.

I would suspect that it is not the valve making the noise. I would bet it is the thermal expansion of the metal that you are hearing. Other than that, I have seen cases where there is a flow control valve, and depending on its operation, when it opens or closes on spring power it will over shoot and make a loud clicking noise as the clutch overshoots. This will usually only be about 2-4 clicks though, and around pool equipment I doubt you would hear much of it. I would bet more on the thermal expansion. Kind of like the clicking noise you will hear after you have parked your car and the engine is cooling down.

Your bypass valve is bad. Probably because you did not pay attention to your water chemistry. It is located where the pipes enter the heater. You remove it from the side of the manifold that is outside the heater. It is not a difficult job. Just make sure your pump does not come on while the heater manifold is open!

Noise at pump

Your problem is just a little vague. Noise could be several things including.... vibration can cause noise especially if the pump is not sitting solid on the ground. Cavitation around the impeller can cause the pump to be noisy. something stuck in the impeller can not only cause a number of irregular noises, but also affect performance. If the bearings are going bad they can make a number of bad sounds; anything from just sounding a little noisier than normal or a loud grumble to a loud high pitched squeal the can make a banshee turn and run.

The pipe is making loud shaking noise

which pipe, i assume you are referring to an exhaust pipe, do u have a loud (more than usual) exhaust sound, if so, the exhaust pipe is cracked or split, if not, then the exhaust hangers (mahe of heavy duty rubber) are split/broken, causing it to shake OR is the engine shaking as well, or just the exhaust, too many questions, need to specify

JANDY JHPU 2.5 PUMP is making a noise.

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

Your motor bearings are failing. It is most often caused by a leaking pump seal. It is a relatively inexpensive repair if it is caught early enough; before the shaft is damaged from the corrosive water eating into the steel. Take it to a local electric motor repair shop for inspection. It will likely need a set of 203 bearings for the motor and a mechanical seal for the pump. All told, depending on the labor rates, it should be less than $75.

If this answer does not fix your problem, please comment with additional details prior to rating the answer. Positive feedback is appreciated once your problem is solved!

Whirlpool top load washer makes noise on filling

Its mainly caused by back pressure when the inlet valve suddenly shuts off the water to the machine. The pressure causes your plumbing pipe work to shake inside the walls.

You can turn down the pressure by closing your water tap and only having it slightly open. Or you can get pressure limiters which join on the hose.

1 year old hayward h1001d pool heater clicking

Actually, the clicking is likely causing the shaking. Inside the manifold of a H100 is a stainless steel diverter plate that send some of the passing water into the heat exchanger and lets the rest past and back to the pool. When it breaks, you will hear a 'clicking' noise at it rattles in the water path. When it breaks, the flow to the heat exchanger is intermittent and you will begin to boil the water, causing the shaking. This situation is dangerous, especially without a pressure relief in the heater or pipe. As long as your water chemistry is sound, Hayward will usually cover this under warranty even if the unit is over a year old. Contact them to get a factory authorized repair rep out at: http://www.haywardnet.com/locator/
