Tv Will not power up to green light
Problem for Akai LCT2785TA 27 in. LCD Television
It takes about eight or so tries before the set turns on.
Just recently the set has taken eight or so attempts at turning on the set before the set turns on.. this problem is with the remote as well as the manual turn on button on the side of the set.
Other than the above the set is in excellent shape..

- same problem, turn off tv, light is red...will not turn on (green light). i turn off the power for various lengths of time...has always finally come back on...today thundershower caused power outage for just seconds..couldn't get the tv to come back on...finally let it rest for about 20 min with power cord disconnected..restored power, red light turned green with switch on....looks like the capacitor problem described above...will look into fixing that when and if the tv stops coming on completely... - susiea1000Solution #1
