SOURCE: I HAVE ASUS P5KPL-AM IN MOTHER BOARD MY SYSTEM IS

if you have your monitor light flashing or the cpu fan is working when you on the system try this,

you just need to load the BIOS to its defaults, to do this you need to open the CPU case, unscrew the two screws on the left side of your cabinet, on the motherboard you can see a small button sized battery, remove it and after one minute replace it into its position.

close the cabinet and start the computer it'll work fine....

My mother board on desktop is P5KPL-AM SE it is not detecting hard disk after installing windows on new hard disk it goes on repeatedly rebooting never shows windows if i tweek bios setup the windows...

check you bios setting
1st boot should be your hard disk if your hard disk model is not shown in the selection then select HDD-0 as your first boot this will solve your problem

this solution only works if your hard **** is detected during POST if not detected check the power connector and SATA or IDE cable of your Hard Disk

Hi, my mother board is P5KPL-AM/PS,but can't detect my DVD-ROM, although i connect properly..i think, maybe is in my bios, can u help me about that plss.. more power

if your dvd rom by sata , from bios find "" load default setting"" then F10 (save and exit).
If it is IDE (with lenght cable), from behind of dvd-rom there is jumper, put it on slave. and turn on pc.
