Volume at very loud not max protect mode shuts off the amplifier

There is a possible poor air ventilation. Make sure the amplifier has plenty of free space around to ventilate. A good idea is to open the top cover of the amplifier and clean the inner heatsinks using air under pressure. Take care not to remove any cable connectors during this procedure. Keep in mind that using 2 pair of speakers always increase the amplifier temperature.

Audiobahn A8002T fan

Hello warneyjacob,

While I was not able to find a part number or support information at audiobahn's website, and the ampguts site did not show the A8002T, several of their amps seem to use a standard muffin fan.

If you can measure the fan, it's very likely that you can find a suitable replacement here. If they do not have one with the exact connector you need, use the connector that is on your noisy fan. Just make sure that the fan you choose is the appropriate size.

Hope this helps. If it does, please rate as "FixYa".

Wiring diagram

What kind of "wiring" do you need?

Positive goes to battery
Negative goes to ground
Rem goes to remote turn on from deck.

Attach speakers to speaker terminals as labeled on amplifier.
Please be a tad more specific of what you are trying to do, and I can help further.

Audiobahn DUB Mag Audio 2502 Amplifier

If the protection light is on, the amplifier likely has shorted output transistors. To eliminate other possible causes, read through the following page.

No light at all

Hi,

A couple of things you can try:
1. check for B+12 on the 1st and 2nd terminals of the Power Connector using a voltmeter;
2. temporarily put a jumper on the 1st & 2nd terminal of the Power Connector;
3. the usual, check for loose connection, fuses, wires, connectors.

if there is +12 on both terminal and amp is still dead, then it is internal;
if there is +12 on terminal 2 but none on 1, then it is the wiring from the head unit or the trigger of the head unit that is the issue;

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
