The ice maker won't work if the freezer is warmer than 17 degrees so that's not an issue till you get the freezer cold again. I would guess that your unit is stuck in the defrost cycle. This could be the defrost timer failing. sounds like the ice or water actuator or paddle is broken. purchase a new paddle and replace it.
the reason you have leak is because you have warm air entering through the broken part into the freezer.
