There are many reasons why a laptop could be
running slow, usually its a lot of junk that has accumulated over time,
fragmented HD, HD errors, viruses, etc.
The first thing to do is to empty
all the contents of the TEMP folder. One way to do this is to open
Internet Explorer, Click on Tools > Internet Options > General
Tab > Under Browsing History, click the delete button.
you can click on My Computer icon in desktop, right click over C: drive
and in the General tab, click on the Disk Cleanup button. After this,
go to the Tools tab and under Error Checking, click the Check Now
button. Once that is done, go to the section below, which is
Defragmentation and click that button. This may take a while, depending
upon the size of your hard disk.
I would also recommend you do a
full virus scan with your AntiVirus software with the latest updates.
All this should help you get the PC going faster.
There are two tools available on the net, which I would really recommend:
1. RegistryBooster 2
2. SpeedUpMyPC 3
