SOURCE: goodman air conditioner doesnt turn on after nail

Hello, if there is no fuse on the circuit board than it is possible that the transformer is bad. Easy way to chevk is turn off power to unit and use a meter to chevk resistance of the transformers secondary side. If no resistance the transformer must be replaced.

My air conditioner thermostat keeps losing power

The power for thermostat come to an from the thermostat with the red and common wire. Check for proper connection to thermostat and check thermostat wire from the thermostat to the air handler. Technicians sometimes do not install splices well and sometimes the splices comes loose. I prefer using rtv loaded wire nuts to make splices when I can find them. Another cause for this problem is bad insulation on thermostat wire allowing wire to short out. If this is your problem, you need to replace the thermostat wire itself. If these do not fix your problem, you may need to replace the thermostat itself.
Hope this helps

W and W2 wiring on old thermostat...where do they go on the new thermostat?

It depends on the equipment you are connecting the thermostat to. If you have a heat pump, the thermostat must be wired differently than if you have separate heating and cooling equipment. If you have a two-stage or modulating furnace (or boiler), the w and w2 wires will conect for heating, and the y and g wires will connect to the air conditioner. Naturally, some configuring must be done with the new thermostat so that it acts correctly. w-w2-wiring-old-thermostat-go-new-u40lsvyytnuesyuv3fbafhtd-1-0.jpg

E1-Automatic filter clean reminder.
Turn the air conditioner OFF and unplug it. NOTE: The air conditioner must be unplugged for the automatic filter clean timer to reset.
Clean the filter. See the Care and Cleaning section in your use&care manual. After cleaning, replace the filter and plug the air conditioner back in.

How to connect to my Air conditioner AZ28E15DABm1 GE a thermostat model TR400 HC-A SECO?

Hello,

carefully follow the below steps;

Turn off the circuit breaker that controls the air conditioning system. Turn the thermostat to the "On" position to make sure that all power is cut off and the air conditioner cannot accidentally operate.
Remove the cover of the existing thermostat and remove the colored wires from the terminals. Take out any screws that secure the thermostat to the wall, and remove the thermostat.

Mount the new thermostat on the wall. Feed the wires through the unit, with enough slack to allow you to make the new connections.

Connect the red wire to the thermostat terminal labeled "RH," "RC" or "R." The red wire carries the power from the transformer.
Connect the green wire to the thermostat terminal labeled "G." This controls the relay that controls the fan. Attach the yellow wire to the "Y" terminal of the thermostat. This powers the main control. Connect the white wire to the "W" terminal. This is the heating control wire.

Close the thermostat's cover and turn the breakers back on. Turn the new thermostat to the "On" position to test it and that would be all.

I hope the above helps. If it is not helpful, please let me know so that I may direct you further.....

Good luck.

Hooking up the thermostat

Typically thermostats only have connections for two wires. All the switching and power control is done in the unit not the thermostat. A thermostat normally runs on low voltage, about 24 vac and only makes a connection for the rest of the unit. It also does not matter which wire you hook to which terminal. Let me know if you need more help.

Goodman GPM075-3 air conditioning connections

your thermostat powers 'Y' for cooling. That in your case blue wire connects to 'Y' on the control board in the furnace. Then a pair of low-voltage wires connects 'Y' and 'C' on the furnace to the two wires to the coil of the contactor in the a/c condensing unit. So to follow the path, the signal wire from the thermostat sends 24v down the Y wire to the furnace board Y terminal which also connects to one side of the contactor coil in the air conditioner. To complete the control circuit to the air conditioner there has to be a common wire. This is connecting the C wire from the furnace board to the other side of the contactor in the air conditioner. Hope this helps.

Intertherm to Honeywell thermostat

Typically if you have a yellow wire in the "y" terminal blue is used as common or "c". As far as your jumper from rc to rh, that will depend upon what type of heat you have. If all of your heat and cooling come from your packaged unit outside, yes you will need the jumper. If this does not work maybe you have a bad breaker or transfomer.
