Question about Husqvarna Lawn Tractor 48" Deck, 23 Hp, Model# Yth2348

Open Question

Husqvarna noise brake

When i release the brake, there is a loud chattering/grinding noise coming from below deck. Here's additional information. When brake is released (hydrostatic transmission) the drive belt starts jumping. All of the sprockets work smoothly. I can move the belt with the engine off and don't notice any binding. If i depress the brake slightly (i.e. 1 inch or so) the noise stops. Looks like the problem is below the steering deck - but i'd rather not take that off. Noise doesn't seem to affect power or movement (forward or reverse). Same problem with our without mowing desk on. There's no wearing or tears on belt - maybe just a little stretched out. Mower has 160 hours on it.

SOURCE: husqvarna YTH2348 when clutch pedal is released, something grinds below and makes a lot of noise, but tractor does move.

Not sure what is going on here, these machines do not have a clutch as such, it will be a idler pulley that is pulled onto the back of the belt to tention it thus taking the drive to the hydro unit, so it may be a simple idler pulley replacment, or slave pulley replacement, with the hydro in neutral have somebody sit in the seat and work the pedal whilst you look under neath and watch what is happening.

You are going to have to disconnect belt and try to turn pulleys on drive system to locate the excact location. It sounds like a belt tension or bearing problem to me.

Treadmill makes loud grinding sound when I run in the middle of the tread. it doesn't make the noise if I run on the left side.

1)you must LUBE the DECK BELT, inmediately, for to avoid the friction
2)LUBE the rollers bearing.too
3) See the main motor for bearing and repair the motor for bearint too.
4) If the problem persist you have worn deck belt, and replace.
God bless you

Corvette makes a distinctive 'clunk' when engaged in gear and starting to move forward or back. Chattering in left rear hub when making left hand turn. Rear suspension and all brake suspension...

The two symptoms you posted may or may not be related. I'd check the driveshaft and axle joints for any looseness or binding. (do this with the rear wheels hanging free in neutral, front wheels blocked)
The chattering may be an axle joint or the posi unit in the differential. Most times replacing the diff lube, (using posi additive) then making tight left and right circles will free the clutch packs.
Difficult to diagnose noises online. If you have any problems finding the source, have an experienced tech look at it,,,You still have the option of actually doing the work itself.

2005 hyundai accent is making a chattering sound

Depending on the quality of pad used you may get some noise from the brakes mainly squeaks. Grinding or chattering is unusual though. Id take it back to the place that installed the pads/shoes and have them check it out again. Do you get a vibration while braking?
