SOURCE: my car died on the

The first thing I would check is the battery and the battery connectors. If the battery or connections are defective or discharged it could have this problem. Unfortunately other things could cause this. If the battery is discharged it could be caused by other components like the alternator.
I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Tail lights dont come on or my running board lights but headlights work

first check the bulbs if they are busted. if not check the connection. headlights park lights and tail lights are on the same circuit so it seems that there is no problem in your relay. also check the switch if its working properly.

SOURCE: battery light came on the dash board and shorty after lights dims

Your battery is discharging, either because it is in need of replacement or your alternator cannot recharge it

Dash lights and tail lights do not work in my 99 honda accord

My dash light doesn't work either, I lose lights in dash at night when I have the headlights on. As for your car, thats kinda weird your fronts work but not the back. Have you already checked the fuse boxes? they are on the driver and passenger sides almost under the dash in front of the doors. If all your fuse are good and in the right spots, then I would check the bulbs out back to make sure they are not rusted inside or cut or something like that.

Rear running lights and dash lights do not work in my 1996 Honda Passport

it's the relay behind the kick panel. Drivers side near the floorboard. To the left of your left foot there is a plastic cover, pop that off and there will be 3 or 4 relay fuses there. Swap em out with eachother until you figure out which one it is. When you go to purchase another one, get the fuel pump relay (they're the same) and it's ALOT cheaper! lol

Dash board lights

Check the fuses. Under the steering wheel. If the fuse for the dash lights is blown, replace it. If it blows again, replace it again and look into what could cause the short.

The lights may also need to be changed in the dash.

The switch to turn on dash lights might be bad. If this is so, outside running lights won't work either.

Dash lights wont work

Some Honda vehicles illumation wire (orange wire)is switched ground. Once connected, turning your lights on will blow your 'small lights' fuse which is a constant power fuse that should be located under the hood. you should just cap off (do not connect) the orange wire and replace the fuse.

New radio installed - now dash lights don't work

Most factory stereos are wired to the dash dimmer switch. Usually if the dash lights go out after an after market stereo installation, it is because the wire that originally went to the factory stereo is not used for after market stereos. Double check the fuses and ensure the wire that controlled the lights on the factory stereo is not grounding out on something.
