DI-624 can't login as admin (by 4 users)

posted by Marinchik on Aug 08, 2007

I am trying to login as admin, to be able to change the default password and secure the signal, but the default username does not let me log in. I'm using 192.168.0.1, login-admin, password-(blank). How can I login as admin?
Thank you

I am having the same problem with my DI-624. I cannot use "admin" to log in (with blank password). I held the reset button for 20 seconds hoping it'd reset it back to factory settings but that didn't help either.

Any other suggestions?

I have the same problem with my DI-624. With just a connection between my desktop and the router, I type in http://192.168.0.1 in my web browser and it takes me to a login window for the router. I type in "admin" and leave the password field blank and hit "ok." But then it just refreshes the login screen. It does that twice before failing with a "not authorized" on my browser. What is going on?? How can I login to this router? If I type in "user", it lets me right in, but I can't run the wizard since it says I'm not the admin. Please help! :-)

Try connecting directly to the router with a cable as if there is a problem with the wireless connection then you won't be able to connect. If you are already connected directly then reset the unit to it's factory defaults:

Locate the Reset button on the back of the DI-624 (through a small hole next to the power cable).

Use a paper clip to press the Reset button
Hold for about 10 seconds and then release.

After the DI-624 reboots (this may take a few minutes) it will be reset to the factory Default settings.

Now try to login again directly via a cable.

To give better answers I need some feedback! What did you try? Are you connected directly to the router? Can you "ping" the router? Can you telnet to the router?

Try a master reset, holding the reset button for 20 to 30 seconds. It will bring the router to the factory status.
