Ice forming in bottom of freezer
Adding to above. Probe is called "Heater Conductor". Part number WR51X10052.
Hope not too late for you. This (along with many others) are known problems for these freezers. After countless defrosting and clean-up, learned there is a probe that can be inserted into drain tube that prevents the drain tube from icing (thereby backing up into freezer and making a mess). Either that or turkey baster, blow drier, repeat every 3 months or so.

Jim we need to check a few things. On back of refrigerator is a panel covering the electronic control board. Then after unplugging the refrigerator take board out to examine both sides. If you find no burn marks we then need to remove the back cover inside the freezer and check the defrost element/heater and defrost thermostat. Let me know what you find. Thanks, Sea breeze

It takes weeks for ice to dissipate in a freezer.
You may can adjust your cut off lights or wire cut off to cut off before it's so full.

I had the same problem. The drain tube is located below the pan below the fins at the rear of your freezer. The drain tube has a trap (s-shaped curve) to prevent air flow out of the freezer. The problem is that water gets in this tube and freezes. I took the sheet metal cover off the back, got a turkey baster and flexible tube, and continuously flushed hot water (after the freezer had been turned off around an hour to thaw). Eventually the plug gave way.

I have had the same problem with ice forming. I found the problem is from the ice maker. The water fill tube delivers water to a plastic piece that acts like a funnel. The water goes through this plastic piece into the ice maker. Ice forms in the plastic funnel piece causing the water to overflow into the ice bin and freezer.
