Question about Whirlpool GD5SHAX Side by Side Refrigerator
When it harvests ice, the bail wire rises and trips a microswitch which in turn actuates the harvest scoop. this scoop operates off a small motor. after it rotates, it shuts off and actuates the water fill timer. the timer connects to the fill solenoid. the solenoid may be burned out, the solenoid may be clogged, the timer may be shot.
