The belt is pre tentioned via a spring connected to the side of the gearbox on the l/h side of the machine at right angles to the deck, you can see the curled end of the spring in a slot just under the handle bottom mounting, there is no actual additional adjustment, only a change of belt, or the spring has become un attached.
