Air not blowing out dash vents

I drive a VW golf 2L FSI, 2006 model, the problem is that the aircon blows cold air out of the vents when driving for about an hour or two and then after being on for a certain period of time, its almost as if the airflow rotates to blow back into the dash as the cold air no longer comes out of the vents after an hour or so. I can feel cold air is still being blown if I place my hand over the vent however it is inside the dash rather than blowing out the vent if this makes any sense! I have taken it to numerous VW outlets and nobody can help, they keep telling me there is nothing wrong as most times the problem only starts after an hour or two of driving. Please help! Thank you so much!

The evaporator coil is icing shut. Check the freon level and make sure there are no air leaks in the system.

See if the same air pressure happens with the heat on. Check your vents to see if any are closed.

99 GMC Sierra 4.8 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive new body style ac does not blow cold air from the front vents on the dash? Still get some cold air from bottom by floor vents,

if both vents are blowing air in general then you may need to get your air conditioner recharged, but if the front vents aren't blowing at all then you may just have a jammed vent flap and you can fix that from under the hood next to the blower motor. check you rowners maual for the exact location

E180auto passengerside aircon always blowing cold 1992 model

Sounds like the vent control motor is bad. It controls how much hot water flows through the heater core. OR the heater core for that side is clogged

Aircon not blowing through dash vents

If it blows thru other vents, your air ducts may have come loose. If you don't get any cool air, your coolant is low (it evaporates during the time and below some point it will not circulate anymore). Also the aircon blower can be faulty.

1986 VW Golf heater blows cold air

The heater in your car depends upon a flow of hot coolant going through the heater core in order to get hot air into the car. If the heater core is partially plugged, it will restrict the flow. If you have a head gasket that is putting exhaust into the cooling system, it will eventually get into the heater core. When this happens there is no coolant in the heater core to make the air warm. If the water pump vanes have corroded away the result will be very poor coolant circulation causing the heater to not blow hot air. If your car is equipped with a heater control valve that is not functioning properly, the coolant flow will be restricted. One or a combination of these factors is likely the culprit in your case.
if the car is not overheating, the thermostat is working fine.... replace or flush the heater core multiple times to try and eliminate sediment build-up.
