Question about Refrigerators
The bottom crisper drawers have started freezing everything I put into them. Can you tell me how to fix this problem? I have tried lowering the temp for the fridge but that does not seem to help. I have also adjusted the humidity level on the drawers but that did not help either.
The fresh food section has a 67003410 Damper that has a thermostat probe that senses the fresh food section temperatures and then regulates the fresh food section cold air from freezer by opening and closing to maintain a set temperature. If defective the damper may remain closed or remain closed. You can test the damper by removing and placing the temperature probe into a glass filled with ice and no water. The damper should close in the ice and open when not in the ice. I will be here to answer any questions you have, Thanks Sea Breeze

If you have a side by side model you need to look at the refrigerator compartment wall on the left of the bottom drawer and move the slide control to the warmer/fruit/vegitable setting instead of the meat setting.
I hope this helped. Please rate my help or ask for more help please. supertechks

i never go by that / just hold my finger over the air port and move it till i feel move air or less to set it the way i need it ,,, less air puts less air into crisper to cut down on freezing

You have to heat the coil in the back of the fridge. Take everything out and open up the back, then take a hair dryer and heat the coil. After doing this, adjust the heat settings on the freezer.

SOURCE: Salad in drawer is freezing
One user claims that the return air vents or vent located at the bottom rear of the fresh food compartment, have collected enough junk to block the cold air from returning to the freezer compartment. You can clean them out but I cannot verify that solution.
The crispers are located in the coldest part of the fresh food compartment.
This problem can occur when the machine gets light usage especially in colder weather, when the machine running time drops and the air in the fresh food stratifies, causing to cold air to pool in the bottom.
Normal may no longer be normal. Controls by their design will tend to run colder as they age. You might try tweaking the control warmer.
Patience and time are the most important tool you have to work with in dealing with this issue.
