Question about Panasonic NN-H764 Microwave Oven
All of the touch pad buttons have suddenly stopped working except for the Stop/Reset button which will only beep when pressed. On disconnecting and reconnecting power, the display shows an arrow (triangle) under the word Sensor, and the number "11". When the Stop/Reset is pressed the display goes to a ":" only and will not then change further. No other keys have any effect. The microwave was working fine up until now. Any ideas?
You may have a failed keypad or moisture or grease on the keypad innards or on the control circuit board itself.
You can find a video here that shows you how to remove the grille & controller in about 5 minutes if it's an over the range model.
You can order Panasonic parts from Encompass here http://tinyurl.com/7qy85y or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.

first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a
minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.
If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for maybe an hour. Then let us know if the hard reset does not fix it.
You may instead have a failed keypad.
If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.
If you would like to have us do this for you, we do that for $39.95 plus part costs, which depends on the exact model, one of these:

SOURCE: My microwave is not working
This is a very serious problem safety first! A microwave oven is safe
As long as the door is closed but is deadly if allowed to operate with it open.
There are safety switches built into the oven that disengage the high powered
Microwaves when the door is opened. They are not operating properly or
The oven would shut off when the door was opened. Microwaves can cause
Severe burns, cataracts, pacemaker malfunctions and cancer. Also microwaves
Can damage the electronics that control the keypad , you microwave oven
Is not just malfunctioning it is a severe health risk and sould not be used.
Unplug it and it must be repaired or replaced if it is still under wannty
And you pay very little are nothing let them fix it otherwise replace it.
