Question about Apple iPhone 3G

Iphone charging Whenever I try to charge my Iphone 3 it charges for 2-5 seconds and then stops charging and gives me message on the screen where it says "charging is not supported with this accessory". What could cause this problem and how do I solve it?

Are you charging with usb? Sometimes it doesnt get enough pwer over usb so you may use the ac plug instead. If you experience that too, just leave it connected to the pc thru usb for sometime. Pls turn it off first. it could come up anyway.

try changing the cable ,,,,if tht does not work .... please restore the iphone ..... do not restore if it is an unlocked iphone as it will lock again ...try resetting it

SOURCE: my iphone didnt charge and its not turning on.

Try doing a master reset by holding down the Home button (the button at the bottom with the square), and the power button at the top of the phone down at the same time until the power off command comes on, but keep holding until you see the apple logo come on then let go. This is a master reset. Then try charging it. let me know how that goes.

SOURCE: my iphone 3gs battery has died, before hand it

The 3GS phone is finnicky about charging withing certain accessories. Sometimes on chargers it'll say "Charging not supported by this accessory". Try unplugging it and plugging it back in. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. If the charger has worked before, chances are if you plug it in again, it might start to charge.

First Option:
mostly nokia chargers doesn't make problems...
just try the following..
connect ur mobile with a system (usb cable)...
found out whether it is charging or not...
if the same prblm appears then there is a prblm in ur cell phone or power jack(socket)...
if it charged with usb cable buy a new charger
Please change Phone Bettery and check the charging
IF Charging Problem not Solved So

Second Option:
Your Phone charging IC Fault So Please change charging IC
And charging Problem will Solved Quickly

If your iPhone battery gets low quick, try disabling features within your iPhone which may help increase battery life.

1. Decrease the screen brightness of your phone.
2. Turn off 3G when not in use ( 3G can decrease the battery life greatly )
3. Turn of Location Services in Settings. ( GPS can decrease bettery life greatly )
4. Turn off bluetooth.

You coyld try a few things 1) Just in case its not charged ..give it a good charge and try again 2) Try holding the home and power buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds 3) If none of these work you will have to plg it in and 'restore' with itunes

  1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone or iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
  2. Power off the device (Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the the iPhone or iPod touch to turn off.
  3. Press and hold the Home button while reconnecting the USB cable to iPhone. When you reconnect the USB to iPhone, the device should then power on.

    Note: If you see the message "Charging... Please Wait" , let the device charge for at least 10 minutes to ensure the battery has some charge and then start with step 2 again.
