My second one just died, and I am very sad, but I can help you with your question.
First you have to set the time. Do that by pressing the hour or minute buttons until the time blinks. Then you can press the buttons to set the time. AM/PM are differiented by a red dot coming on in the time display. You can set that as preferred.
To set the timer feature, press the time button until the time blinks. Then use the hr and min button to set your timer setting. Pay careful attention to match the am/pm button with what you want.- if you don't you will be 12 hour off. To use the delay, set up the coffee pot, then push time. The red time indicator will light. If you are using ground coffee press the mill button. If it is lit, the mill will not turn on. This goes for either timed brewing or present tense brewing.
THe coffee pot has a timer - it will shut itself off after 1 hour. If you want to restart it, just push the mill button and press the on/off button.

How do I keep a warmer on so the coffee stays warm without hitting the "brew" button again

Unfortunately, the Melitta 46894 10-cup model uses a thermal carafe. This model doesn't have a keep warm option for the burner. There would be a risk of melting the plastic of the carafe.

Melitta has a 12-cup version that comes with a glass carafe and a burner that will keep the coffee warm for 2 hours.

I wish that I had better news for you. The manual is available from Home Depot here: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Melitta-80-oz-Thermal-Coffeemaker-46894/203650034#.UkYMW7_Bb3h . Scroll down and look for the Info & Guides section on the right. The left hand column has a product overview at that section. You will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read the manual.

I have a Melitta Mill and brew coffee maker and the clip on the lid is broken and will not grind and brew without this clip to hold closed the top. Where can I find a replacement part?

I Googled my question and there was a web site by a lady who has the same machine and on her web site was the 1-800 number where I could order the part over the phone. I went back to find the web site for its address and couldn't find it. Sorry but the # I called is 1-800-947-3745

Need to find a karafe for a Cook's Essential coffee maker. It looks like numerous people have asked this question and there are no answers. Is there a website for Cook's Essentials that I am just not...

Search E-bay for CEMB10TC with the option to search descriptions. There appears to be a seller (as of right now) that is selling the carafe's for this coffee maker. No picture, but its worth a shot... seems a little spendy though @ around $60 shipped.

If they have their part number right, this should be the carafe for the Melitta and Cooks Essential Mill & Brew with the stainless carafe.

Broken coffee mill/container on Cook's Essentials CEMB10TC

This is the same part as on the Melitta Mill and Brew, notorious for the same problem. They are no longer being made; you can't get the replacement part in any of the "official" channels. Somebody somewhere may have old stock. You always had to replace the entire lid, not just the latch. Most people figured out to use a mall weight to sit on top of the lid so it will work, or just hold it down with your hand until it finishes grinding.  Not a great solution, I know. Sorry. I'm in the same boat!

Melitta mill and brew 10 cup grinder/maker

  1. Press and hold the TIME button for 2 seconds. The green TIME light will come on and display will read 12:00. The unit is now in the timer programming mode.
  2. Press "HR" and "MIN" button to program start time. Small dot in upper left corrner signifies clock is programmed for A.M. No dot in upper left corner means clock is programmed for PM.
  3. The Timer Display and LED light will flash 5 times to indicate that timer is now set. Press and release the TIME button. The green TIME light will come on.
