Question about Epson Stylus CX5400 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Cx5400 printer will not access the magenta color

Hey I have clean and re installed and updated drivers and yet cannot access the magenta color. Blue black and yellow just fine . I have change the gamma I have said no black I have put it to the best quality. My test paper always shows all the colors but magenta. I have put in new ink and yes the tape has been peeled away. Suggestions would be appreicated

It is leaving heavy blue streaks on everything printed


Hey, blue streaks could be a few different things. The first thing I would check is the image unit. Try swapping out the cyan(blue) image unit with another color, such as magenta. If the streaks change from cyan(blue) to magenta in color then you know the image unit is bad and must be replaced (part # 108R00581). If it is not the image unit then it most likely is the developer. The developer takes about 40 minutes to install and really should be done by a service technician.

Be sure that the installed printer is listed as the 'cx5400' printer, not some other printer.

My magenta ink is out and the printer is showing error. Is there a way I can still print with my black and white cartridge.


in the epson cx5400 you can not still print pecause the printer sign red light on the ink the printer design stop from the factory for this now you change the all set not only magenta that is better because the printer make clean when you change and that take charge from the set ink I think you understand what I mean thank you

The lt magenta and magenta just quit printing between pages


1. Check if the cartriges are correctly installed:
Installing the Ink Cartridges

2. Print a diagnostic page and clean print heads, using the printer cleaning utility:
Color Mix or Missing Colors on the Diagnostic Page
Repeat if needed.

3. If this still doesn´t solve you problem, try resetting the printer and manually cleaning the cartrigdes as advised in this FAQ:

take out the cartidge and see if there has been a leak. If there has gently clean away excess ink, then replace cartridge and clean the print heads

Despite installing new cartridges,cleaning and priming, my HP Deskjet 710C prints pink only. Using Windows XP test page shows no blue, or yellow.


hi,
do you installing both cartridges (black and colour)?
if you do so, my advice is to reinstall the driver for your printer.

if you install ONLY the black cartridge, and the color cartridge remain the old one, (which in my opinion is the present case), your problem is from the color cartridge.
The color cartridge have 3 colors and this are: cyan (some kind of blue), yellow and magenta (similar with a pink color, but more intense). The problem is simple: in your color cartridge has left only the magenta color, cyan and yellow tanks are empty.

have 2 options:
1. buy a new color cartridge
2. refill the color cartridge.

Hp deskjet F4180 prints wrong colour blue header prints in magenta only,new inks installed,nozzles cleaned,test page prints ok


I had the same problem and the solution I found was to uninstall and then reinstall the printer driver. For some reason this worked. I now get the correct colors.

directly hooking the printer to mac and windows computer are you getting bandings still? interesting issue... we will isolate it first by trying to hook printer directly to both computer, if its printing fine when directly connected, then there is something on the application or communication process. try printing a different document using same application when on the network and try printing from different application as well. update me afterwards..
