Question about Archos 604 Digital Media Player
THERE DOES NOT SEEM TO BE ANY POWER GOING INTO MY ARCHOS 604 I THROUGH IT WAS THE LEAD SO I BOUGHT ANOTHER BUT TO NO AVAIL. CAN ANYONE PUT ME IN TOUCH WITH SOMEBODY TO HAVE A LOOK AT IT OR REPAIR IT. I THINK MY SON MY HAVE DROPPED IT!!!
If the unit was dropped, you may have to replace the battery. The batteries for those units are lithium-ion-polymer and are somewhat fragile when dropped. The other possible reason it is not working is that the shock form the drop has "bricked" or killed your unit's internal circuitry. I would also try charging it with another USB connection as the USB connection you are using may not be powerful enough to charge the unit.
