Question about Televison & Video
Convergence seems to be bad. TV looks like some of the pictures that SD Tech posted
Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.
This is a a fairly easy DIY job if you know what you are doing. If you have never done this before we would advise calling a shop or if you want to do it yourself get a complete kit with instructions and support from TvRepairKits.com
Their kits include a step by step instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, thermal paste, email/phone support, etc.

Yes, it does not happen often but you may have installed or got a new chip that is bad--you did apply heat sink compound to the new chips?
Check all the resistors carefully when you do this and double check all the soldering you do.
Let me know if you need help.

Testimonial: "Thank you SD Tech, you have been extremely helpful!"
This model does not use STK CHIPS. Look on back of set where model number is---what is PTK number---ie: PTK 169, OR PTK 195

I presume is is WS-65905 which is a 1999 model and it may or may not have the self check feature.
Does power light come on and then go off?
How did you read the codes?
