Question about Honda EU3000iS Inverter Generator
Posted by Anonymous on
The grounding wire that grounds the engine frame to the negative side of the battery may have broken off where it connects to the block. You have to take the red metal shell off to get to it. You can easily check this with a piece of wire ( I used one wire from a set of jumper cables). Clip one end to the grounding lug on the side of the generator, and the other to a bolt on the engine block. See if it starts. If it does, you need to fix the grounding connection. I used one of the braided ground straps that you can get at an auto parts store.
The engine/generator assembly sits in there on rubber motor mounts, so it needs to have a way for the ignition to be grounded.

Check the Blade Safety Switch. Also check if the Carburettor requires a good cleaning and overhaul or not. After that check if there is any air leak or air in the fuel line.
