Question about Samsung LW15M13C 15 in. LCD Television

Open Question

Samsung LW15M13C LCD Television

Audio is ok on normal terestrial tv, but when connected via scart or L & R audio in the audio is seriously low. I have tried different input devices but the problem remains. Maybe an internal amplier problem? Trouble is that I can't seem to get any schematics for the unit. I am used to working with surface mount devices as I work in mobile phones as an R&D technician. Any help would be gratefully received

SOURCE: samsung lcd ln46a550pf3 no sound from hdtv reciever

ok your tv does not come with the very best sound, you have to get a receiver 7.1 or you can use the optical wire , that's if the system you are using has that option.

Resetting the TV
If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:

NOTE:
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.

clip_image001.jpg
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.

hope this may help;

I have an old school Curtis mathes TV for my son Xbox 360 can not get right channel no code works any suggestion

The XBOX360 does not connect via any RF channels (TV aerial). It connects through either the analogue video & audio inputs e.g. SCART or PHONO connectors, or via HDMI (which will not be supported on your old TV). If you have connected via the SCART or PHONO type then you can select 'AV' or 'EXT' via the remote to get input from the SCART/PHONO.

No right channel on AV2

First, does TV sound without external sources work on both channels?

With the one RCA connected and getting sound, unplug it and plug into other channel. Any sound? If not, remove it and plug the other RCA by itself into the left channel. Sound? If yes, plug it into the right channel. No sound? If not, bad TV input.

If you do get sound on that other channel with a single RCA, then you have either a bad cable or bad source. Reverse RCA's on source and try same test, plugging each RCA into each input on TV one at a time.

If the TV is bad, you will get sound on just the left channel regardless of which RCA you use.

No audio after recording from sat. Reciever

Double-check your input cables from the receiver to the LG 389. Do you have the sat. receiver AV out connected to the front AV In on the LG DRT389? Make sure that you haven't mixed up the L and R audio connections on either side. (I've done something similar with RCA cables myself.) Next, try a different set of cables.

If that doesn't work, there may be a problem with the audio jacks on either your receiver or the 389. To check, plug the AV cables from the Sat. Receiver directly into the TV. If you have sound and video, then the input jacks on the recorder may be damaged.

Try using another input. (It looks like some models have the SCART input; you may need to set the input source in the menu under AV2 Decoder.)

The fact that you have audio output on USB and DVD's means that cables/connections between the LG289 and the TV are fine.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the details of which AV port you are using on the LG389 for additional assistance.

"In the past I have got the old flat TV connected with SCART"... what about the present? HOW is the "TV" audio connected to it?

My advice would be to remove the TV as a sound source and get the TV-audio from the audio outputs of wherever it really originates. In most cases that is a Cable Box which can be treated like a high-end audio device for this discussion.

Ever wonder why Cable Boxes have separate audio and video outputs and TV's have multiple inputs? So you can send the BEST version of audio and video directly to the BEST electronics that NEEDS it and NOT to or through anything that adds nothing to the quality. Heck, many TV's are monitors without audio at all. THAT is how I would treat any TV for serious high end listening. Send the digital Cable Audio to the soud system and the 'regular' RCA audio to the TV for low-fi TV-watching like news and Oprah.

How do i connect a virgin cable box with only scart output to a sony str dh810 AV reciever?

If your TV has audio outputs of any description, connect the V box to the TV via SCART and then connect the TV's audio output to your AV amp. This will allow you to use the amp to listen to the Virgin box's output being displayed on the TV. If you want to listen to mp3, connect the MP3 playing device to the AV amp. Select this source rather than t he source being used for the TV's audio. THe video output of the V box will still be displayed on the TV while you use the amp to play audio sourced via a different input on the amp.

Denon DHT-500SD system and want what is on TV to come through 500

You could try the optical route. You should be able to use the analog RCA audio outputs of the TV to the analog TV or VCR audio inputs of the receiver as well. Select the appropriate input on the receiver and you should have TV audio.

LG Plasma 42PC56 optical digital audio out

I can't imagine your setup. Box, tv and pc speakers?
Typical setup would be box, tv and some kind audio system with optical IN. Correct wiring would be connect box to tv via scart and connect optical cable from BOX to audio system. You have to go from box not from TV since scart connection doesn't carry audio signal. To have TV to output optical audio out you would have to connect it to box via hdmi.

Souud delay on tv /amp

Instead of connecting each device (sky&dvd rec.) to the TV separately, I would simply hook up the sky to dvd recorder (connect the sky output and dvd recorder input), and then connect the dvd recorder output (must be called "play out") to one of the available recorder inputs (which could be a dvr, an empty tape input, etc)of your amp. However, you'll still have to establish a feedback between your dvd recorder and your amp. Therefore, if the dvd rec. supports it, you'll have to hook up the rec.out, which is on your amp.,to rec.in on your dvd recorder. After all these audio connections, you will only need to make a video connection among the sky, dvd rec., and tv. Get a video cable to hook up the sky video output to your dvd recorder's video input, then do the same thing between the dvd recorder's tv output and tv.
