Question about Washing Machines
Drum not moving. Please advise.
Check voltage to motor at the time of the start cycle if water has filled, absence of voltage shows that the program controller is faulty, If there is power, then the motor is faulty, if the motor is humming or getting heated then there is friction on the drive, remove and clean the drive shaft.

SOURCE: why does my Whirlpool AWM
Above is your service and repair manual. I would think your main controller board has faulted. Most likely it has been spiked or a power surge has affected it. This Board will need to be replaced. All parts are in the service manual, parts numbers too. Now please use the service and repair manual, and perform the troubleshooting steps to isolate this issue and to be sure of our main board diagnosis.
However if you do not wish to DIY, then please contact your local whirlpool service agent and ask for a service call, then ask them for a "Quote" for the repair, before allowing repair work to commence, this way you can make an informed decision as to what to do.

SOURCE: Not running through the cycle
Wher is it stopping, if it is stopping on the rinse cyle, it could be a bad pressure switch or plugged tube to the pressure switch, if it is stopping in the spin cyle it could be the door switch not functioning or a plugged pump filter or pump or clogged discharge hoe. The pump filter is ususally an issue, it is under the tub, usually right in front with some sort of cap on it.
Remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel under the washer door. Your filter door will be light brown. If you find a hose there it is to drain out excess water (water that could not be drained by your pump) After you have drained unscrew the cap and remove all the junk inside. Have a large plastic bag to catch junk and water. Refit carefully after cleaning out. If not solved, something shd be blocking your pump, check this out. Door locked? Press "end of cycle" for 3 seconds, wait for 2 minutes & try the door. are you getting any codes, these tell us a lot.
