LG DRYER 5955 - No heat; 4 bars in test phase; NO blockage!

I just bought an LG 5955 electric dryer and it won't work properly. I live in a brand new townhouse, so the ducts aren't clogged with lint. Four bars appear at the end of the test phase despite proper installation and venting. The dryer will run but will only run cold; I think the heat won't work due to the failed test phase. Does anyone else have this problem?

I agree that the venting issue (4 bars showing at end of test phase) is the likely cause of the lack of heat... but why am I having a venting issue? My house is a new construction and the venting has been hooked up properly.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. The service man came and his voltmeter showed that there was 120V going to the dryer which could run the drum & the electronics but not the heat. My builder sent their electrician today who fixed a nicked wire, now I've got 240 volts. The problem was NOT the dryer at all. I've been using it and I love it!!!

Bought LG DLE2532W Dryer it in Canada, need to use it in Europe

For to use it with a 220/ 240vac system, you will need to convert 110vac 60hz/to240vac 50 hertz single phase therfore your transformer should have this rating, also it has to be able to handle up to 3kw or 3000watts in power, maybe just as cheap buying a new drier....
