Question about Televison & Video
When the TV is not working longer and turn it on operating normally 5 min. picture disappears just black and has tons When you shut down and restart Picture being told for a moment and disappeared. Everything acting is fine but there is no picture I watched CCFL, it seems to me that they are good. What there can be a problem?
Check its back light inverter side circuit. Check whether there is ano loose solder terminals or loose wiring.

Sounds like horizonal output transistor could be over heating. There could be other problems. But I would start there. You can find the part number on the schematic inside the set. If you change it yourself don't forget to use the included insulater. Part should cost between 15 & 20 dollars. You will need make & model # of set at electronic parts store.
Diagrahm inside set will show you location of transistor.

Hi, IK circuit is engaging which basically means the picture tube is getting tired, the only "fix" is temporary (may get another year out of it). You have to increase the "screen control clockwise".
Remove back of set, follow large black or red wire attatched to picture tube down to the flyback transformer, mounted on flyback are two black controls, one is focus (leave it alone) the other is "screen", adjust it clockwise approx. 1/4 inch, remember that this is a high voltage circuit so use one hand in the set the other hand out of the set at all times,any questions ? e-mail me back, good luck, BMW Rider
