Hello. Tv was fine last night but when i turned it on this morning i have sound but no picture just a black screen. The tv is about 25 months old. Thankyou.

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

My 42 inch lcd vizio tv flashes like a stobe lite after a minute of powering it on then goes black what can i do

That sounds like an inverter problem. Check the capacitors on the inverter boards. There will be two on each board. The master inverter will be on the far left side, and the slave will be on the far right side. You will have to remove the metal covers over the inverter boards. Should be 4 small phillips head screws. If the capacitors have bulging tops, replace them.

I've fixed several of these, easy fix, you will need to replace both 470uf 35 volt capacitors on the master and slave inverter boards. So you will have to replace a total of 4 capacitors. The capacitors themselves are about 50 cents a piece. The inverter boards are on the far left and far right of the set. You will have to remove the back cover to see them. If you don't have the ability to replace the capacitors, you can just order new inverter boards for $40-$60.

Took out a title loan on my car well recently lost my job now im behind in payments can they come confiscate my car if im a lil behind or can i still pay on it a lil at a time please help in dire need

You need to work this out with the loan company and if they are an honest company they will usually allow a bit of leeway but will only go so far without some form of payment. If you have missed several payments they may repossess the vehicle. You MAY want to "hide" the vehicle or get help from relatives.

No picture or sound. Red light blinking four times on sony bravia tv. Suspect power supply problem?

Red light blinking 4 times on Sony bravia TV.This is the problem of INVERTER BOARD.The inverter board has to be replaced.Every Sony bravia tv has a particular model number and the Inverter board part number depends on model number of the tv. As you have not mentioned the model number so the exact part number of the inverter board is hard to tell. But you can get the required inverter board part for your tv from ----------- Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate thissolution and show your appreciation.

Have a sova 32" LCD flatscreen, purchased in 2007. Visuals went out on it, although sound continues to work. Fixable?

Possibly. Did the problem start suddenly or did the picture fade (possibly with a pink/red color)? The problem was sudden, it probably was the inverter that drives the backlight. If it slowly faded, the backlight itself failed. Most manufacturers will recommend the entire board be replaced if it is the inverter. The inverter is simple to replace but you must get the right one for your tv. (The replacement is disconnect the wires from the old board (like molex plugs) and unscrew the board. Screw in the new board and connect all the wires.) The backlight is a bit harder since you have to use a rotary tool (Dremel) to remove the old one from the housing.

First open up the TV and remove the shielding. Look for any capacitors that are bulging or leaking. (These are cylinders on tripods.) If you see those, note the part number of the board and order a new one. Match the part number and revision if possible. Universal inverters are available but you may have issues like the contrast and brightness being reversed (press up to reduce brightness). (Depending on the inverter they range from $50-$150). You could alternatively just replace the capacitors and usually the resistor that served as a fuse for the board.

One way check the inverter is with a multimeter that can measure frequency. (You need a high frequency range ~50 kHz, Alternatively an oscilliscope can do this.) Hold the multimeter probes a fraction of an inch apart about an inch above the circuit board with the TV plugged in and on. If the inverter is bad or the frequency is too high for the multimeter, you will see a result near zero. If the multimeter gives a measurement of 1 or a value of 20-60 kHz (depending on the TV), it's probably the backlight.)

I hope this helps.

Intermittent operation. Appears thermostat

No solution so far. But wanted to tell you that I'm having the same problem. I went through a lot of time, money and effort without success. Xantrex has abandoned me not responding to my e-mails anymore.
There could be a problem with the way it is (or not) grounded. I'm still experimenting.
I'm using a cheap $39.00 westmarine as a replacement. A bit noisy but so far much more reliable!

My 32" Astar LCD TV will not power on. It was fine last night, then I wake up this morning and it will not come on. I t is only 2 yrs old

Bonjouir honored Sir/Madamme, call me V. Unfortunatley this is a typical problem with LCD Monitors, they start to experience no image, or on/off screen issues, the problem is the inverter board, try to replace the inverter board. This should work.
Thankyou, :) V
