What type do you have? If it is the type mounted on the rear fender that engages with a lever..first look on the deck where it connects the deck spring and follow it back to where it connects to the engage lever..simply connect the lever end and snake it down to the deck and connect..should need no adjustment cime as a complete unit..good luck..

How to remove a 1977 mgb body from chassis

Fenders are bolted to a fixed and welded apron. Rear quarters are welded in place. Floors and truck pan are welded in. Doors will unbolt of course, as will the hood and deck. This is unibody construction. DIp strip requires a lot of time on these cars.

How to replace the top belt that goes to engine from transmission on troy bilt model LTX-1842

Unfortunately there is no easy way to do that.I find that removing the seat and rear fenders is the best way to get at the engine pulley.I remove the deck and the deck belt then drop the belt from the engine to the front.Make sure to get the belt inside the tension pulley before you put it on the front pulley. You will need a small pry bar or large screw driver to get the belt on the last pulley. Before you use one of those wrap it in an old rag or some leather(old belts work)to keep from damaging the belt.I would suggest replacing the deck belt while you are down there,I always change both as it is not much fun to change the belts.

Thanks for using Fix Ya.

How to remove gas tank from craftman LT1000 lawn tractor it is located under the seat

Hello, removing this tank is easier then it may initially seem. Here are the basic steps:

tilt the seat forward
remove the springs that support the rear of the seat
remove the knob on the transmission shift lever
remove the fuel cap
loosen the bolts under the foot rests (that is all part of the fender assembly)
gently lift the fender assembly to expose the fuel tank(I have used an engine crane type lift to do this)
remove the bracket over the tank
remove the tank

reassemble in reverse order.

If this helps please vote yes, Thank You!

How do you remove the rear fenders on a 2001 vw beetle do you have to drop the gas tank?

no the gas tank has nothing to do with it ..first thing is that the two rear fenders and rear bumper cover are bolted together and must be removed as a unit. First thing remove the inner fenders on both of the rear tires then look up and remove the T30 torq bolts and 10mm nuts on bottom the brake light housings must be removed from inside of the trunk there are 2 covers in the corners pop them out and ther will be a plastic knob remove taking care not to drop them then pop out lights with a small flat tip screwdriver unplug lights then take loose the gas door screw and remove clip holding the latch then pull out latch taking care to not break it. then remove all the screws on the outside under the rear deck lid T30 torq .gently pull on fenders and pull off the rear fender/bumper cover assembly taking care to not pull out oo far then take off 8mm nuts from heat shield on left backup lamp and unplug lights ..there u go the all u have to do is unblot the fenders and ur good to go

I have had problems with deck belt tension since the second season that i have owned this mower. MTD brand belts of the proper part # will not cut on the #1 or #2 deck height settings and as they wear, #3...

Remove the deck and blow or wash off all the old grass, remove the belt and make sure all the pulleys turn..its common for that deck design to have the spindles freeze up. If they don't turn that's probably what happened...also make sure all moving linkage is lubrated on the deck.
