Question about IBM xSeries Computers & Internet
Hi, I'm trying to install XP on my server, however the windows install cannot find my HD... so, I've tried putting some SCSI drivers onto a floppy and adding them as part of the XP install but still doesn't work! the drive is being registered by the machine so I know it works, and I had Windows 2003 working fine previously. I'm guessing I'm not using the right drivers? can you point my in the right direction as to which drivers I should be using or if its another problem? Thank you :)
You need to install a "server OS" either (server 2000 or 2003, 2008)
windows xp will not work on the sever machine

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

While running the windows 2003 setup (winnt.exe), it will ask for SASI driver, you have to add the scsi driver... then windows 2003 os will detect the HDD.. then it will install..
