Have you tried some housecleaning? If you don't do regular maintenance , you will be doing a Full Factory Recovery, loosing ALL your data often and reinstalling ALL the Windows and Asus updates. There are lots of freeware programs to remove the junk, shut down unnecessary running processes, CCLEANER: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ Also MALWAREBYTES: http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/ There are many more freeware/shareware programs found at FILEHIPPO: http://www.filehippo.com/ If your Browser is slow open Manage Add ons in IE, remove all toolbars and unnecessary Extensions and Search Providers. My Acer Aspire One D257-1679 Laptop Constantly Freezes. Maybe Windows 7 Drivers out of Date and is not compatable.Should I do factory Reset?. Thank you

I just fixed a laptop with windows 7 freezes

windows 7 support has ended
all you need ot do is reduce the number of programs the computer is running

C drive needs lots of free space

if you want to keep the computer ..these things help

first store what you want to keep on to usb sticks
documents ,pictures ,files ,

not on the hard drive

delete all the unwanted items off the c drive
look into the users ..remove "Temp "

go through all the programs on c drive and uninstall
as many non windows 7 and unused microsoft programs and also unwanted computer games and printer drivers
clear all the downloads
clear the memory cache
defrag the c drive
scan for virus and troguns

if using versions of office above 2000 will slow /freeze the pc

windows 7 when released was based as a 32 bit and some x64
window 10 can be uploaded only if window 7 has upgraded to stage 3 but it will be slow
stuff that is X 86 will slow windows 7

Why does my Samsung galaxy centura freeze up overtime I try to log on to Facebook and runs slow all of the time?

Your Samsung runs slow all of the time because it has only 512 MB Ram and a single core cpu. You can install clean master from google play and run it or you can do a factory reset(! you wiil lost your data if you do this Menu" -> "System settings" -> "Backup & reset" -> "Factory data reset").

My compaq CQ56-219WM (recently restored to factory settings) runs extremely slow and i get a constant "high CPU useage" message. how do i fix this please?

When Norton is active it scans the computer for viruses and this will slow the computer down until it finishes.
You computer will improve with more RAM especially if has 512Mb of RAM.

Everytime i click on a video it just comes up as a black screen

YouTube freeze can happen due to many reasons. Major reasons are overload on website, simultaneous running of many programs on your computer, Low RAM, Slow internet connection or corrupt windows registry.
For smooth watching of YouTube Videos take following actions: 1. Watch videos at off peak times, if possible
2. Do not run other programs while watching videos. They slow down computer in general by making use of memory.
3. Add RAM on your computer. More RAM will make easy execution of heavy programs on your system.
4. Get better and speedy internet connection. Talk to your ISP in this regard.
5. Regularly clean windows registry. Windows registry is vital place that stores information for important computing functions. A congested or corrupted windows registry makes computer slow that causes YouTube like freezes. For this, get the best registry cleaner reginout and optimizer. Use it once in a fortnight for fast computing to avoid YouTube freezes and system slow down.

If it freezes up, I recommend you reinstall your operating system.
1) Get your product key:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/produkey.zip
Run the program and copy the product keys.

2) Get your installation disc and reinstall, then type the product key you copied down, then reinstall your previous programs
