Question about Computers & Internet
I've got a faulty american Dynamics 17" monitor that appears to have a faulty power board, anyone know where I can purchase one from, the number on the board is 03A94V0 but a google search for this doesn't help me much and the only image I've found showing it looks nothing like what I've got.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Blinking power button
It could also be because there is a problem with the display controller in the computer. Try to hook up another monitor to this computer and see if it comes up. If it does not work with another monitor, the computer will need servicing. If the display does come up, the Samsung monitor will need service. Good Luck

I buy and sell these monitors (Dell E17FP) the problem is with the transisters (Q739, Q740, Q759, Q760) they short out and the monitor will just blink on and off. You have to desolder them and test them with a simple battery and light circuit. The reason they blow is because of the dirty solder joints by the transformers. If only on pair of backlights work the problem maybe transisters Q751, Q743. I home this answers your questions.

Tyris Model: F179
Purchased an AsIs non-Working Tyris F179 from Goodwill for $15. Opened the case, found no swollen capacitors. Tested the capacitors on the power board and found C203 680uf 16v and C202 680uf 16v only partly working. Could not find a pair of 680uf caps and since they were in paralell on the same traces I removed both of them and substituted with a single 1500uf 16v capacitor. Next, the video board does have a Novatek chip much like the Novatek chip in the Samsung 710n but look closely at the 5 and 6 legs, they are not being used in the Tyris design so the 5/6 50ohm resistor fix is not needed here. Did find C107 , C16, C50 weak, all 47uf 16v, so i replaced them. Reassembled and now have a great picture again.
i'm not an expert at anything...x'cept maybe dumpster diving. God Bless
