Flashing E-1 means your thermistor, a device attached to your thermostat that detects room temperature is shorted or broken. Replace or rewire thermistor. First turn power off to it. Second, clean air filter or replace if worn. Third, hit the reset button or scroll through menu until you find reset to factory settings. If no button or menu to scroll through unit then keep unplugged for 8 hrs to reset it. After that plug back in and power on and see if the e1 goes away. If not I recommend having it serviced. Also the owners manual is saying no pipe check operation check, try operating in auto addressing mode without pipe check. Sloution to check setting. Check piping connection and setting.

CH 5 on these units indicates a communications error between the indoor and outdoor units. Generally, it will require a replacement outdoor board assembly to repair it. Lookup LG parts on the internet or ring them for your nearest Agent or parts. 800 243-0000

I have a fujitsu air con which is flashing 3 times on the timer. It runs for 10 seconds and then shuts down and then flashes 3 times. Model is a AOTR09LCC

Serial signal (reverse) error, during operation.
Try turning power off at isolator for ten minutes and then switch back on. If error code persists, you will probably need a new controller PCB in the outdoor unit.

When the indoor unit does not receive the signal for 10 consecutive seconds during the operation >Permanent stop after 30 seconds.
[Diagnosis Point]
Check the indoor /outdoor cable connection (in order). If the cable wiring is not abnormal, measure the voltage of the outdoor
unit terminals and diagnose the defective location.
(Refer to the after mentioned [Serial Signal Diagnosis] for the voltage measuring method and diagnosis method.)

After lightning MW12C1E replaced burned fuse on power circuit unit satrt then flashing green LED then stop how to read error code ?

If you had a major surge then chances are the entire outdoor PCB and possibly the inverter transformer need to be replaced. I'm not as familiar with the Friedrichs but most mini-splits use flash code errors on both the outdoor and indoor units, occasionally with the common codes printed on one of the outdoor service panels, usually only in the service manual (supplied to authorized dealers and sometimes available from manufacturers websites).

Are you saying you have two HVAC systems or one? If you have two indoor units, you must have two outdoor units. Which outdoor unit is running. You said it is running hot. Assume the fan in running to cool the condenser. If so it should be about 20 degrees warmer than outdoor air. If not maybe you have a dirty condenser coil. Need more information.

Fan @ compressor wont run,one light is flashing

flashing light is showing an error code. if the unit is under 5 years old it will be covered under warranty.. if you want you can try and reset the power by turning it off at the isolator next to your outdoor unit, leave it a couple of minutes and switch it back on. this will reset the fault code, if the flashing light comes back there is a definite problem, if it runs the fault may have been caused by a power surge or something

The unit is tripping when the outdoor unit tries to come on. This could be two things, first change the capacitor on the outdoor unit by removing the top cover of the outdoor unit. If this does not solve the problem, your compressor could be faulty

System will not start up.

This is a signal fault between the indoor and outdoor first make sure the dip switches are set start with the unit closest to the condensor set as unit 1 then next unit as 2 and so on the dip switches are inside the indoor unit on the pc board if you check the manual it will tell you which swithes to set, if this wasnt done when the units where installed they would have never worked i would also check the signal wiring between the wallmount and the splitter box / bc box and make sure there isnt a loose connection when you have ruled this out id say more than likely it is a faulty indoor board on the wallmounted unt

Mod# A-SMH18SA SER# 2791206189 Heat controller mini-split. Cust says lights flashing on board- he resets it, yet it resumes to just flashing at the board. Nothing runs. Long drive out there- any ideas. Was...

First of all, Heat Controller does not mount any schematics on their systems panels at all and supply no information for the service tech to code the light on the outdoor board. This is unbelievable.
Anyway- I found that the electrician had re-arranged breakers in the panel supplying the building and had connected the outdoor heat pump to 120v instead of 240v. He had interpenetrated the connection at the unit that has marked 2(N) as being a neutral connection. I explained that on 120v systems, that is neutral, but on a 240v system, it's L2. The outdoor board was flashing 5 times after the power was turned on for 3 minutes. Voltage at "S" was 38.4v, with this condition and the indoor units lights (all) were flashing every second and beeping as well.
It's running fine now that we are connected to the proper voltage.
