SOURCE: Intermatic timer will not turn pool pump off

If your timer is not turning off the pump its probably wired incorrectly. Check the wires on the back of timer as it should work the same as a regular light switch. They may be reversed.

Check your wiring, it sounds like it's not right. The clock needs 120 volts to run.

SOURCE: Intermatic Pool timer will not turn off... I have

If the pool pump timer is not working, first look and see if the clock dial is moving, if not then you need to check the 120volt breaker that feeds it ,, then you would check the connections on the timer to be certain that they are correct.

The supplier that fiited my swimmimng pools timers never gave me the booklet on how to set the time.

1) Unknown brand name pool timer, probably Intermatic:
Unknown if this is mechanical timer, or digital, or remote control, or air activated. Or if this is control center with circuit breakers and multiple timers to control heater, and pool pump, or if unit has firemans switch to turn pool heater off 20 minutes before pool pump, or if unit has freeze protection thermostat, etc

Pool time switches pool on, but off does not trip off, and can't do it manual. When I push it on off, the pool pump tries to stop but continutes running. Have to use breaker box.

Model number of timer is not known.
Is this new installation? Or installation that worked before and recently stopped working?
If the manual override lever on timer does not turn Load on-off, then 1) wiring is wrong or 2) timer has gone bad or 3) pump has a short.
I suspect a short since you say the pump 'tries to stop running.'

I dont know how to set the timer

Question posted under Intermatic T104 series timer and pool control center.
Open following link to see how to set this timer:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/How-to-operate-and-set-T104-timer.pdf

Intermatic T12404R control center has 2 timers.
Each timer is set same way.
Timer must be reset after power outage. If time dial is not rotating correctly or is sticking at the tripper, then the WG1573 clock motor can be replaced by homeowner.
Both timers are 240Volts, and can be wired in variety of ways to control different voltages. For example 120Volt pool lights, and 240Volt pool pump and pool heater etc.
Each timer snaps out of control center using thumb spring located top inside box.
Each timer mechanism is sold separately. One timer is T104M. The other is T104M201.
The difference is that the 201 has a 'fireman's switch' that can be wired to pool heater, and the switch turns off heater 15-20 minutes before turning off pump.
Each timing mechanism can be repaired by homeowner using available clock motors and trippers.

Model:pf1103t will come but won't turn pump on now???

PF1103 is thermostat for 120V and 240V applications, and is usually wired to a timer that controls pool pump. When temperature drops below thermostatic setting, the thermostat by-passes the timer and runs pump continuously so pipes don't freeze. Usually this question appears in wintertime instead of summer, so I wonder how the PF1103 is turning ON, unless you are experiencing problems with a timer.
PF1103 manual shows wiring:
http://www.1000bulbs.com/pdf/Inter-PF1102T-Operating.pdf
You can buy the thermostat separately
http://www.amazon.com/Intermatic-PF1102M-Freeze-Protection-Mechanism/dp/B004I4278M

1) As an electrician, I would begin by looking for loose wires, evidence of burning and high heat.
2) Next I would examine the circuit and circuit breaker to see if voltage is reaching the timer and thermostat.
3) Last step would be to test individual wires to isolate problem.
Be sure to stand on dry surface like plywood when testing live electric circuits.

I have a T104P3 timer for my pool pump. It has already been replaced once by the pool installers. However, they are not helping me again with my problem. The time is set correctly as well as the turn on...

Sounds like the ON tripper is worn down.
Check that dial is rotating correctly each 24-hours. If not then wiring might be wrong.
