Well the default is to obtain the channels signal. most channels over the world their audio output signal is mono. Rare tvs have the ability to save indivisual channel to their memmoty. Read the tv prospectus!!!

I have fixed this by puchasing a scart to audio and video separate using a digi freeview then routing the sound into an amplified pair of computer desk top speakers. Video into TV and bingo. only drawback is that sound cannot be operated remotely. But I now have a good picture and even better sound. For the price of a lead and connectors and speakers it has given me a decent set up. But dont buy a swiss tec 19" unless you like really crap sound. Geoff

Hi there! If picture is distorted in Pause or FFW and Rew Mode then your screen might go into mute. Check in your Menu settings for Blue Background on or off and then switch this off. I'm not sure on your Model but a lot of other brands have this in their Menu. If this does not help then the 2 items may not be syncing properly and you will have to live with the symptom. Try pushing the INFO or the DISPLAY button on the remote until it reads DISPLAY OFF.
Good luck and post back to let us know how you make out.
